So I've been playing through The Division 1 again recently, and I had a look at Aaron Keener's profile under the Missing Agents tab. It lists him as a "Potential Prototypical Candidate." And I can't stop thinking about that. While this could mean he was being considered as a candidate for the Hunter program, I think it really means he was considered the candidate to lead the Rogue program instead. While he could have constructed the Rogue SHD network on his own, it only makes sense that somebody else helped him along. My guess is Claire Ortiz.

Its gonna get interesting when we finally get Schaeffer involved. I have a feeling kelso, manny, Keener, Schaeffer and our agent will all team up by the end of the new DLC. I am hoping that Brooklyn does one thing I wanted to be done in the beginning of 2 (which they did in the beginning), which was show other agents out and about in the world. That final room besides for legendary is the only other thing in this game that is much easier to do with a damage armor hybrid build like memento striker rather then traditional all red striker. Since that room really gives you no room to breathe

Ballistic deflect shield, baby. Makes the fight trivial. I went in with the normal striker build, got dumped probably like everyone else. Builds are this games strength and the ability to adapt.

For me, it was perfect for umbra set with memento. Drones waves were trivial with EMP. Their spawn time was almost the same like skill cooldown. Plenty columns for umbra charge = infinite and free healing😉. Rest like u said, a ballistic shield with RPM ramped up on liberty's whitch was always a robot eater.

Linking the division to secrets of the government like the skull and bones society and the monrovians is a smart play as the directive that made us itself was wrapped in suspicion in the first games lore. You seriously needed a protection from elites build there for the end of the mission. I had the same one that I used when taking down the Recruiter a couple of seasons ago and, after getting my butt kicked initially, put it on and had no problem with finishing the mission. 72% PFE means that even those sniper hits from Cerberus did only a small amount of damage - more than enough for the Memento build I had on to keep up with some healing. A slightly different build, with lower PFE, got me through the mission on Heroic on the first try without going down. What I want to know is how you managed to make it through 4 times without one so that you could get all the comms. 😉 There are a bunch of things that we've run across, some obvious and some not so obvious like the Owl room on Roosevelt Island, that may start to shed some more light. If you remember, the Morovian Society was very interesting to Jupiter during the last manhunt mission - one of the comms has a Cleaner finding a room with an owl statue and she's in a big hurry to see it. Whether that's because she was working with Keener or just had information about what it might represent was interesting. Although, to be fair, an underground room on Roosevelt Island seems a pretty unlikely place for fabulously wealthy/powerful members of a Cabal to meet. Don't they usually get together on yachts or at each other's mansions? Seems like hiding in plain sight is easier than crawling around underground. Makes sense that Cal isn't part of the Cabal, though is a pawn working for them. Although you do have to wonder just how many members really survived the green poison. Members of the government may have been working to influence things and ensure that Amherst finished what he was working on, but to what end? Aren't these people actually less powerful now that green poison has been released and over 90% of the population is dead - possibly including themselves. Their money doesn't buy much, they can influence nobody. What's the point of having a cabal at all any more? Yes, they spent months in a bunker hiding but, unless they had a cure or vaccine, they couldn't risk leaving in case they got sick. And with the virus still sitting out there in the population, it seems unlikely that they'd be any more immune than anyone else. The plans of the Cabal pre green poison and Nat's involvement in it may be more interesting, but they're probably less interesting than stopping what Nat and Cal have planned now. It also seems like Nat isn't sharing her authority with other shadowy figures in hoods. In the games and the books we've only seen somewhat limited or regional factions compared to what exists with Black Tusk. If there were other Cabal members around, wouldn't they have their own private armies? Or at least something bigger than a few discontented JTF folks or a bunch of maniacs like the Cleaners, Rikers, Outcasts, or Hyenas? We've been over a good part of the US through the novels and there was no indication of any major forces beyond BT. So where are these Cabal members? Maybe they're in different countries, but the impression from the comms is that they're more US government focused. Anyway, that's enough rambling. It will certainly be interesting to be working with Keener moving forward, even if he's just on comms. Which is largely how we interact with Manny anyway. And having ANNA around will certainly be interesting. I agree with you that we're likely to be getting some future troubles from that source. Or at least it seems like they're setting it up that way. I guess we'll see where she goes next season.

So is Keener's story before Kelso's manhunt retconned? Or ir is just adding on top? Because, is now Keener's legacy isn't leaving Rogue agents behind, but actually saving the Division agents with his rogue agents, and in that case, keeping the world itself from being captured by this shadow group? And we have yet to get any kind of explanation why Keener wants to kill Paul Rhodes, what's the beef between the two of them? I don't want to start any conspiracy theories, but at the WONY mission, he keeps asking if we trust others around us (Faye, and now I guess we know by "fellow agents", that could be interpreted as being Kelso), but he outright tells you to kill Paul. Imagine showing 6:24 to someone few months after WONY released. You'd be put on a stake and accused of witchcraft.

Keener was playing chess. He knew the agent would come for us as the hero of the story so he needed us to continue the story as the hero as we killed him the villain. This ensures that he stays in the shadows pushing his rogues to get more information out of Black Tusk because they know that black tusk are the greater evil along with the hunters while we continue to be the hero. Christ.. The story for this part was genuinely pretty good, if a little disappointing with how suddenly it just sorta.. Stopped. But that final boss? Lord, that has to be the WORST fight in my entire time playing Div 2. Just to get the rest of the comms, i went and ran back the mission on Normal, just so i don't have to deal with that dreadful fight as much. Even then, Full striker stacks on normal wasn't still barely gutting their healthpool. Even bosses on Heroic and Legendary dropped faster against firepower like that, compared to that hunk of scrap.

We had access to ANNA In Warlord of NY. Keener and Theo manipulated the ISAC system to fake their death. Theo displayed the manipulation in the prison mission by assigning his credentials to a dead JTF person in the cafeteria or chow hall. Keener’s watch had ANNA and we took it. ANNA immediately override our ISAC watch to booth our stats. Keener I assumed used a different watch to copy the ANNA program from our new watch to his current watch. Ironically, hunters and Nat collects dead agent watches for some reason.
