I love to watch these videos not just for the beautiful artistry and music, but also because of the way you can see her very soul pouring out as she plays. Yu Hong Mei is absolutely incredible. Few people are so blessed to find what they were born to do in this world, but I believe without a doubt that she was meant for this. In nearly thirty years, I have yet to find another human who can pull at my heart the way she does, and without the use of a single word.

Sun Huang’s butterfly lovers probably comes to Hong Mei’s level but other than that, I see no other erhuist that can convey such emotions when playing their instrument.

Hong Mei's erhu cries, moans, and talks like a child to his mother. Her skill in handling the erhu is second to none. I think she has already attained sainthood. Audience just love her as a erhu master with all their heart and soul. :)

I've always been very interested in foreign music (I am from the US, and I play flute, piccolo, and alto saxaphone) but this is just in its own world. It is so beautiful, and amazing, its hard to describe. But listening to her works have inspired me to play the erhu (I've been intending to learn a stringed instrument), and I'm so excited! Itis just such a pure and simple form of music :) these are the pieces of tradition that should continue through every generation :)

No delicate details. Too exaggerate body language while not covering the too few practice. Exaggerate emotional involvement at this piece of musics which shows her performance is too coarse. Hearing the music, not serious enough while giving people nasty feeling.
