I agree 😂 ever since I first saw the game screenshot of the green Ninja, spread legged, but just way too distressed to escape, Ryu is a playful and cruel ninja. The last thing that poor kid saw was his own shitty wet Crotch. I'd imagine after the fight, he was very frightened and the stench didn't help. But Ryu likes to play, I think the Ninja deserves it, he gave poor Ryu a stinkface

When I got Sigma 2 a year or so ago, I was sorely disappointed that it was censored. Blue flames? Are you kidding me? I thought Playstation was supposed to be edgy. Not sure why they had to censor it. Kind of like the first Mortal Kombat on Super Nintendo. I understand that Nintendo wanted to make their console family friendly but the Sega Genesis out sold them because they kept the edginess with the blood code. See how Nintendo changed their tune when MK2 came out? Violence sells, my friend. About a week ago, I did manage to get a copy of NG2 on Xbox 360 and play it on my Xbox One. Praise the gamer gods!!

The amount of so-called "useless movements " is what makes this game unique, learning how to move and what to use is the key to get the most out of this game a complete art on its own... I won't mind creating a community that wants to learn all game mechanics for example Tekken is the other game where people love to spam and is just boring to watch till you find someone that actually understands the game mechanics

I agree about your take on Tekken. I took me watching a tournament, a long time ago, to understand that the game actually had something going on, mechanically speaking. And that sparked my interest in the franchise. Please don't take the following as me saying that NG2 game is bad, but it definitely has major flaws. And the viability of Ryu's moveset is one of them. I've never understood the defense of the "useless moves". One of the biggest issues with NG2, is that you have dozens upon dozens of moves/combo's, across all weapons. The vast majority of which, are simply not viable on Master Ninja difficulty (or higher with the mod), because they often just take too long, or don't have the kind of stun to be used in groups or against certain enemies. This leaves a handful of moves across all the weapons to be of situational use, with the the BnB boiling down to OT-ing everything and doing Izuna Drops. Where is the footage of people going through the stages on MN doing flashy combos, and preferrably with other weapons? Cause I've never seen them. There's a reason all of the high level play videos always use the same handful of moves and strategies. This isn't meant as hate, by the way. I just genuinely don't see the merit in the argument that the moveset is all viable, because you just need to be skilled enough. EDIT: spelling, grammar and overall readability.

Something you technically can win with, but there's something else that's easier and more reliable, is not a viable move. Things like ID and chain UTs are simply too good to be ignored once the game turns up enemy aggressiveness and damage like it does on MN difficulty. The whole concept of "any one mistake could be your demise" is awesome, but that can't exist if the game lets you survive doing any move whenever you want.

​@@Omnibus4Everyone I honestly have to agree with you. As fun as Ninja Gaiden 2 can be, it can VERY frustrating very quickly because of Ryu's move set (or more accurately, their recovery frames). Some moves honestly take WAY too long to finish -- way longer than they should -- and can wind up leaving me wide open for an obnoxiously extended period of time (way longer than necessary) and it doesn't help that an enemy can literally just run up to you and just grab you. You can manage it with certain techniques, but that doesn't just nullifies the problem it just helps you deal with it. However, the problem is still there and you can still suffer from it. Again, when the game works, it's an incredibly fun game and I like the challenge it brings. But when it doesn't... Whether it's my controller or my window, something is getting broken. It's like a love/hate relationship, honestly.

@@Woenmusic I don't think they had to change the game up all that much, it's just that they couldn't use the data they had developed under Microsoft funds, so they had to remake the whole game. And along the way they made some changes based on the feedback they got from the 360 version... tried to make it more like the first game, but since the 2nd game wasn't designed for it, it just doesn't work quite as well. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the type of difficulty where you're punished by death for simply making a minor mistake... sometimes even just RNG being poor. And that's where they went completely wrong with Sigma 2 on Master Ninja. Every difficulty is pretty much just normal mode with different damage values. And in MN it's so extreme that you from a single projectile or grab. It feels like playing normal mode... then you die when you get hit. I don't like the Nioh games for the same reason. They're not hard for most part, you just die in 1-2 hits. It's pretty much the reverse of the difficulty in the Itagaki Ninja Gaiden games. Where even on Master Ninja you had plenty of room for mistakes, but despite that they're still harder than the Sigma versions. Anyhow, worst part is how it's always the Sigma versions that get ported. NGBlack and the 360 version of NG2 are the best versions of those games and they will never get a proper remaster or rerelease. Well, at least the small handheld consoles are making some good progress. Maybe in 5 years with a little bit of luck they will be capable of perfect Xbox emulation for games like Ninja Gaiden Black and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Hi mate, I'm looking for some advice regarding how to add extra costume skins from nexus mods. I understand you need a file injector. Dowloaded that; followed the instructions; simple enough... but nothing shows up. The only thing I've been able to get working is the anti-bloom and the blood mod. The costumes and weapon skins just don't show up. Plus, nothing shows on costume select. I'm clearly doing something wrong, but I can't figure it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

5 months late but shurikens can cancel recovery time of some combos, which puts you in a neutral state and allows you to execute

This is exactly how I play the game but it's the Sigma version but the OG game seems much more frantic. Sigma version is also insane on master ninja difficulty but this one seems a bit more mental with much more projectile spamming. Also I don't know how you're performing flying swallow after throwing shurikens in the air
