Ngugi your guest according to me is not a Christian but a Kikuyu Traditionist. I have many times seen Muslims carrying the Bible and using it against the Christian faith. They claim that Jesus and all the prophets were Muslims and therefore all Christians should abandon the Christian faith and become Muslims like Jesus and the Biblical Prophets. Your guest Ngugi is using the same same method to fight Christianity. His urguments are what is called HERESY or false Christianity. Let him come out as who he is and it is a Kikuyu Traditionist not a Christian. Fir his brother Bishop Dr JJ he preaches Christianity as most of Christians know it and i believe ad far as Christian faith is concerned they mostly dont agree. This guy as not even attemped to learn christian theology so that he can understand Christianity better. I guess he has no interest in theology cos his interest is just to turn kikuyus back to the traditional religion.

We learn kìrìra from teachers whether modern or traditional (kikuyu) teachers from what they tell us or what they tell others eg Paul to the young man Timothy. My opinion is that this man is not a Christian but a traditionist who confuses people using the Bible. My opinion is that he is no better than those he is criticizing. Ngugi please read sociology and psychology and understand what is destroying our society and one of the reasons is the confusion this guy is bringing on your screen. The family is the basic unit of the society and as kikuyu community we are not protecting the family but using individualism to destroy our families. Look at the way a brother today refuses to be a father figure to his sister's son or the way a sister looks down on her brother and refuses her son to associate with her brother eg cos he drinks or she does not like his wife etc. Fathers are refusing to give names to their sons and refuse to give their ids to the children cos waliachana na mama yake just to punish their former girlfriends or firmer wives. Look at the way Kikuyu women exposes their children to the wider society by calling her children after her name just for them to have her name like cows, plots or cars which have their names. Do you know that the only man who is proud of being called Mr Wanjiru or Mr Njeri only a successful man? Why? cos in teen age they suffer ridicule cos of being children of single mothers and being called after their names cos they don't go to sch in their villages only? Dont the other tribes in Kenya have single mothers? They do but they don't embarrass their sons by calling them after their mother's names. A child could be called his name and 2 baptism name eg John Joseph Otieno. Read more and understand better about societies and psychology Ngugi plus your guest and stop confusing people please. Brother ya Dr Bishop JJ life is not as simple as the way you are teaching about irumi and uhoro wa "maithe maitu". The group that is professing hii maneno is just trying to get followers even for his church.
