The erstwhile Manipur/Kangleipak Kingdom pre- early-mid 1700's, being ruled by courageous, brave and strong Kings such as- Khagemba, Pamheiba, etc, was extremely powerful and intimidating in the entire Western Southeast Asian Region (WESEAR). However, post- mid-late 1700's, somehow, over the course, the Kingdom and the rulers got progressively weakened. Some kuki/kuh ki (Persian = people of the Eastern Patkai/Arakan mountain ranges) wild tribes i.e. sukte, khongjai/khongsai (aka khun chai/thokpa), etc. were initially imported/invited from OUTSIDE the southside of the Kingdom by the then Meitei Kings around mid-late 1700's. Later, as the erstwhile Kingdom got progressively weakened (due to multi-factorial "issues!") around early-mid 1800's, the British simultaneously started importing more n more khongjais from the southside aka chin n sagaing regions of burma/myanmar; and implanted in the unadministered hills (the so-called "Selected Area Development Administrative Region" aka SADAR Hills aka the present-day Kangpokpi Dist.) surrounding the Manipur Valley (to act as a "buffer-zone" to protect/defend the kingdom against the frequent raids by the northern Angami tribes) in the last 200-300 yrs only...and thus CREATED the MOST HORRIFIC FAULTLINES ever in the history of Manipur... HOWEVER, recently, those "indigenous/native" Manipuri Kukis started importing more and more of their kind and NOW they've started claiming this land as theirs. The British intentionally and wilfully trifurcated the Kuki-Zo-Chin's ORIGINAL HOMELAND aka Chin hills/state of 🇲🇲 + Chittagong hill tracts of 🇧🇩 + Lushai hills aka Mizoram of 🇮🇳, politically between and amongst those 3 countries (🇲🇲 🇧🇩 🇮🇳), as a retribution for their failed uprising/revolt/rebellion (1917-19) NOT anglo-kuki war (instigated by Sanajaoba, a meitei, to overthrow Maharaj Churachand, a meitei king, by promising reduced house taxes) against the British's policy (for recruitment of kukis as laborers/porters under manipur labor corps) during WW1 (1914-18). As a centrist Meitei, I wholeheartedly support and endorse the creation of a Separate Administration or a New Sovereign Nation/Country, specifically and exclusively for the Kuki-Zo-Chin people, aka Kukiland/Zale'ngam/Zogam, comprising of and consolidating the Chin hills/state of 🇲🇲, the Chittagong hill tracts of 🇧🇩 and the Lushai hills aka Mizoram of 🇮🇳. It's about time the 🇲🇲 junta, the 🇧🇩 govt and the 🇮🇳 govt hand back over the chin hills, the chittagong hill tracts and the lushai hills, respectively, to the kuki zo chin people (which rightfully belonged to their ancestors). Imaginary "DREAM" land- kukiland = Churachandpur + Pherzawl + Noney + Kangpokpi + Kamjong + Tengnoupal + Chandel, of UNITED MANIPUR. REAL ORI kukiland = chin hills of 🇲🇲 + chittagong hill tracts of 🇧🇩 + lushai hills/mizoram of 🇮🇳 !
