Nice video DJH about NHAM ZONE's early days! Your memory is very clear about those cool early days of great beat-creating times!! 🎧🔊💥 Here is my take on the Alien Visitation track and what was used on it! 👽 All the main beats were created by me on the Roland W30 Sampler, the Haunting Pads were created on a Korg O1W, I also used the Drum Kit from the Korg O1W (Dance Kit) for certain sections of the beats, mostly on the Breakdowns, the track was Sequenced on Cubase Version 2!! (Awesome sequencer via an ATARI1040 STE!!) I used a few break loops mixed in with the beats and created different offshoot patterns for each break, so they would hit at certain points off of each other, and when the main BIG Kick hits with the nice mid snare (the snare that goes solo with the big kick on the piece of the track when the sample echoes out...Come for me.....) they all sound unified with the rhythm, I do like it when a beatfest comes to together!! The Main Kik was a Roalnd TR909 Kick that I sampled from the TR909 and then placed back in the track with a big boom slice of EQ and a touch of Mid EQ underneath it so when it hit it really does pull through! Also in there is the sound of a ROLAND R 70 Drum Machine Claps along with cymbals, that Drum Machine has some awesome kits that were well-underrated at the time, you just had to be creative with your EQ on the Kicks & snares to give you that awesome break feel! A Roland TB303 was used for the Acid ( only the original machine could give us that crisp and deep acid sound, which flows amazingly well throughout the track!!) The samples were all found via some ancient videos back in time, and fitted perfectly to create the awesome feel of the track! Alien visitations before it was pressed went through several incarnations as a track, until the last one was made with the great Acid run inside it! And we were happy with the sound! The EP Was Mixed down at Abbey Road Studios by Engineer: Sean Magee *You can find his engineer page on a Google search Page ranking* ( What a Guy! ) He was such a perfect host who gave us a quick tour of the studios and also showed us where the Star Wars theme was created (huge room!) and then showed us some of the amazing Studio rooms at that time ( I am sure there have been plenty of updates since at Abbey Road Studios!) Sean commented on your wicked track "Nightmares of a DJ's Brain) that you had used all the frequencies of mankind inside of it! which brought some chuckles at the time!! NHAM ZONE has a ton of tracks that no one has heard, and I am sure you will be uploading them on your channel at some point, I am looking forward to those cool beats & breaks to furnish KZbin at some time in the future, along with your own awesome creations which you still make today on your own Analog Gear!! for those who have been asking about my music in 2024, I have music across social media including KZbin, search BLUE TONE BOY and you will hear some of the other productions I have made over time! I am writing this comment from my own KZbin channel as of 2024 where you can find my Mixes & also my own track productions & Creations! Also remember, most of the NHAM ZONE Music was created using a lot of Analog & some early digital machines, TR808 / TR909 / SH101 / MS20 / MS10 / JUNO 106 / ROLAND W30 / KORG O1W / KORG M1 / TR606 /TB303 / AKAI S1100 / ROLAND R70 / ROLAND JV880 / ROLAND SPACE ECHO / ROLAND FLANGER / if there is anymore I have not put down I am sure DJH will drop them in a comment! Also really happy to see the tune get so much love from new ears & good to hear some comments from old friends from back in the day who from time to time dropped into the late-night beat studio sessions and had their ears filled with trippy far-out breaks and baselines!! DJH is one of the most incredible Analog heads that you will ever meet, his ability to craft amazing raw and deep music in quite a few genres, is formidable, to say the least, and you clearly hear that passion in all his music, both old & new including all of the NHAM ZONE creations, my ability to make beats was born in me, living in Hackney surrounded and growing up with all kinds of music in the late 70s and 80s just made music creation run through my veins, I did my very first mix tape (actually a cut & paste mix using tWO cassette players and one deck to take snippets of music with vocals and place them together) at the age of 9, I played it to some people and they were blown away by it back then...…I may still have that on a cassette somewhere as I have tons of them with a zillion tracks that are all unpublished demos from way back in the day...…! Peace & Music always!! Roy (B.T.B.)

"...I am so far underground no one's heard of me.." 😂 great comment. Hands of gold dude, hands of gold. I remember some of the studio sessions with you and Roy, with Dean as well. Great music and tons of natural talent. Feel blessed to have been there. Keep doing what you are doing 👍🙌
