Today my boyfriend continued to go to work far away, he told me a lot of things before going. I was very sad, but he promised to come back to me soon, so my spirit was better, and I returned home to continue helping my parents build a house.

I take it you didn't turn on the subtitles. While you where watching the boards being put up for walls it mentioned having to save up for windows for the house. My guess is a expensive planner isn't something that the average pig farmer in Vietnam has lying around.

@@mdh1974 nothing other than the fact that non-western countries don't have a habit of just throwing stuff away. The boards where used before they where put on this wall and will probably be used again for a different purpose. Why cut a inch off a board now that you may need on that board at some point in the future. Much like my grandparents that where so poor the didn't even notice the great depression, you absolutely don't waist anything. I'm old enough I can remember when you could buy .22 ammo for 50 cent a box. A local store would sell my grandpa 10 rounds at a time for a dime because he usually didn't have 50 cents to spare. When I was 8 years old I got one of the worst whippings of my life because grandpa sent me to the store to buy ammo and told me to kill a few squirrels on my way back home. Unfortunately I missed one of the squirrels I shot at and got my butt spanked for wasting in pennies worth of ammo.

It's not so easy to let your loved one go after seeing each other again, Lieu. But I'm sure you'll be reunited soon.😊 I know the feeling all too well when I had to go to the USA, Malaysia or China for a few months because of my job. My wife and son weren't happy either. But you can now continue working on the parents' house, who, as I see, have already partially moved in. There's definitely still a lot to do and your little farm will distract you too. He is a very good, kind man and it hurts to see him go, even for me because you were both so happy. But it does seem he wants the best future for both of you, that is honourable and I respect him for that and he doesn't seem to want to leave you either. I also feel your hurt and can understand it since I was in a long distant relationship too and it hurt everyday we were apart but we both stayed strong and lived through it although it was hard. You are a smart, young woman who I believe is strong too. Cherish those memories until you can be together again, fate/destiny has plans for you both. Today, all those harsh memories came back to me as I watched you cry when your lover left for the far side of your country to work there. I wished he would leave work there and stay by your side, planting the land together and selling the beautiful harvest. It would have been much better than him going alone. .......I don't know how you live alone on this farm... You are truly a hero and you deserve respect. Note: I had the idea to write a long novel about you and how you live here alone... a fictional novel, but it mentions many things about life, about my country, Iraq, and about your country, Vietnam //// If you help me write it, I will start from the next day.. I need information about the farm, about you, and about Vietnam, and this requires me to ask you many questions..
