New game new glitch! Fr like in NHL 24 be a pro sometimes when I sim to the next shift the same exact defenseman every time puts the puck in his own net. Even in big playoff games. Makes it actually unplayable sometimes

Completely agree. If you want to waste the coins that you get in playing games, selling players, etc, that's fine. But to go buy a PSN card or Microsoft points to buy packs for $1,$2,$5,$10, etc, is just stupid, you already paid them $60-$70 why keep spending more and more just use the in game currency. You don't need to use actual money to get good players, just play the game and use the coins you earn. It's sad, because I've heard of people spending upwards of $100+ not including buying the game itself. You're just handing over money to EA to get a 87-95 overall player that if you were patient, you could buy that player buy coins you earn. Prey is spot on with his opinion.

Yes, because the people that spend upwards of $100+ is stupid, you're just handing over money, with the game already being $60-$70 why keeping giving them money. I understand it's all in the point of view, and opinion, that if you feel it's worth then whatever, but in my opinion I think it's ridiculous to go out and spend money on players instead of using coins you earn from playing that could get you that same players. I guess it's all about patience and apparently a lot of people don't have it. In my opinion it's stupid, and ridiculous to spend money on players that you can get for free. It may seem to you only $1, but like I said, that shit adds up I've seen and heard of people spending hundreds and even one person saying they've spent over a thousand, it's stupid and sad to see that in my opinion. If I'm not mistaken, EA has an exclusive licensing agreement with the NHL. Meaning they're the only gaming company that is legally allowed to use likeness and intellectual property from the NHL.

Couldn't agree more, Johnny. This game is a fucking atrocity, EA are a bunch of criminals. I pray that 2K will be able to release a competent WWE game because if they don't, my heart will be crushed. I've typically put in 1000+ plus hours a year on both NHL and WWE (combined), if WWE sucks, that'll be down to nothing. My Peach game in Smash will be pretty stellar with all of that extra time, though :P. "Ray Ferraro!!" was hilarious.

Johnny, I really respect you speaking your mind (as I agree the game is sub-par for sure), but have several major gripes with this video. #1 - You were offered to come to Toronto (30 mins from your house) to speak to Rammer himself, with myself and many other KZbinrs to offer suggestions for the game; you declined. #2 - You claim that EA is only in it for themselves, yet you openly stated that you only play on next gen to get paid. #3 - You also claim that EA is unprofessional for having spelling mistakes in their game. Yet you typed "Areanas" instead of arenas at the end of this video. #4 - EA has offered you more promotion and help than ANY other KZbinr. In my opinion it's well-deserved, you've earned it over the past several years of hard work. However, to go on and make that erroneous turd analogy and take cheap shots at EA, really took it too far in my opinion. Kind of like biting the hand that feeds, you know? All in all, I agree with much of what you said; I also dislike the game and think it has way too many flaws. However, you could show a bit of respect for a company that has helped you oh so much along the way. We're all frustrated with EA. To answer points 1 and 4 - I don't know how much EA has helped Johnny over the years, so I can't argue anything about that. However, it isn't like EA was completely helping Johnny out of goodwill. This channel provides constant publicity for their game as the videos that are published are viewed by thousands of people. Both parties were doing favours for each other. Therefore, Johnny may feel like he doesn't owe EA anything and doesn't have the need to go to a meeting to make suggestions (I am speaking for him, I do know that, and I might be speculating). For point 2 - His claim was followed by him saying that he used to enjoy playing the games. In other words, he was able to have a good time playing while making videos. The point he is trying to make is that this particular game does not allow him to do that anymore. He is only doing it because it pays rent. For point 3 - I think we can both agree that the level of professionalism required between a supposedly top-notch game producer and a youtuber isn't exactly on par. Is it ironic that he made a mistake after his critique? Absolutely. Is that relevant to the point he was making? I don't believe so.

NHL 15 is the best game in the NHL franchise. Who wants a bunch of fun game modes to play? It is too hard to pick from them all. I always feel bad for the other game modes that don't get played as much. Also in career mode, who would not want to spend half the game sitting on the bench reading what the coach has to say to you? When on the bench you can also read all the cool signs the fans made. I like to think a lot when I am on the bench. I really understand myself when I am on the bench.

Johnny, I wasn't too sure when I first bought the game, but I must say, playing my friend in vs and playing with sliders in Be A GM I've come to love the game. It really is closer to real hockey than anything ever made IMHO. I can understand if you are really good at the game, you might be able to exploit it's weaknesses, but there are some great gameplay upgrades here. I see more things happening on the ice that mirror real life than before. The fact that the skating engine dialed back the extreme momentum of 14 has done wonders alone.

I think they lost money. I mean the do need to print the game and all. then do updates that are free for us. They need to work more now to release half the game. Johnny, NBA 2K14 for next gen was bare bones just like NHL15. It was missing key game modes that made the game, "the game". All it had was a shitty my career(in the NHL15 world, HUT) a weak server for park and pretty graphics. That's it. fast forward a year NBA 2K15 comes back with major game mode improvements and renews my confidence in the dev team. All i'm saying is that this is NHL's first year on next gen. Give them another chance with 16, who knows, maybe they'll get it right like 2K15. Love the channel, keep up the good work!

I'm a diehard hockey fan too Brandon, and I get what you are saying... personally I can live without a video game, I rather play something else or try newer games where developers are actually putting efforts into making a good gaming experience for it's clients. EA is clearly taking advantage of the monopoly in the market place by giving a shit product knowing that there is nothing else out there... they purposely add stupid shit to the game or make it worse than the year before, and then next year they will make a game with faster load screens like NHL 14 and call it an "improvement"... they do this every year, take 2 steps back and 1 step forward to call it an improvement. Jack Brady what i hate most about this game.. 3 major things. first off the collisions are retarded, guys fall into each other non stop...2. bouncy puck. they say they took out beach ball puck yet replaced it with the bouncy puck that just jumps over sticks al the time ruining scoring chances.. 3... major issue for idk how many years.. powerplay. idk if im only one who notices how unrealistic powerplays are. when on the pp everyone is spread out no matter what formation u use. defensemen never step up,,, the second you get the puck 2 guys are on you. i cant take it. thhis game blows but like i said i will continue to buy these games,,,

Look wise it is an exact copy of nhl 14 nothing changed there. It also still has all the game modes (shootout,eashl,live the life etc.Gameplay wise it is better no new skill stick but they put new player and puck physics which actually makes a big difference. And if you play gm mode it looks the same but is 1000000 times better players actually live up to their potential and crosby and other best players actually score over a point per game. If you are a hardcore nhl game fan and you want the new improved gm mode and to be able to play hut with new rosters and different player ratings its worth it. If not and none of that makes a difference you might as well stay with nhl 14.

He isn't comparing the games for their genres. He is using minecraft as a point saying a great video game doesnt have to look good to be fun and sell copies.

Will you marry me bro? I been saying this for years. And funny thing you mentioned Minecraft. I switched from NHL as my main game to Minecraft. ALL my hockey buddies made fun of me for that, but minecraft was $25 and that golden turd was $70, I've had more fun on Minecraft than NHL last few years. Probably one of the best reviews I've ever read or watched. Everything you said was bang on, and you are one of the only people who I am confident EA will listen to. You are one of the major representatives of this game's core fan-base, and now EA is under pressure to acknowledge that they let us down. I suspect they will bust their ass to fix this game, and deliver a better NHL 16, but in true EA fashion they will only care until we forget, then they'll proceed to disappoint us again. The point of all of this, do not pre-order this franchise ever again. They lost that trust.

Johnny, I respect what you say but I don't think you realize how complicated it is to code a video game. Every time you complain about the AI I want you to think about every little detail that has to go into programming the AI or any other part of the game. Its not as simple as just telling the AI to stick on the right boards or dump the puck when theres no room to enter the zone. You should take some computer programming courses just to see how difficult it is to program and maybe you'll understand how difficult it is to program a game.

Jordan Jeffrey That comment makes absolutely no sense, to be honest. Take a look at something like FIFA for consoles. The menus are very fast, and there's very little loading times in the menus. You don't even have to wait for the game to load, but you can instead play a minigame while it's loading. Besides, even though Minecraft isn't that nice looking game, it still needs a pretty decent computer to run. And it still lags from time to time. How can you even make the argument that NHL15 is faster for last-gen, because it looks worse? Have you forgot, that current-gen consoles have substantially more power? Besides, I can't even in the right mind to imagine 2D menus to even remotely stress the consoles, so the menus should be equally as fast, even faster! You clearly don't have very much knowledge about this stuff...

Please answer, because the I'm tossing around the idea of buying a PS4 but the only game I actually play consistently and keep all year is NHL. but the only thing I do in the game is make players "super" and just beat up on teams. Honestly Johnny working with EA would be such a great thing for this game. He has so many ideas including when someone pauses in otp or eashl they get taken over by the AI instead of the rest of the people who have to wait. Hopefully 2k comes back so they can put some competition towards EA.

GM mode is really my favorite mode. It was really the only mode I played in NHL 14. As soon as they made the daft available I was happy. I would like to be able to play the AHL games, but it's a very minor gripe. In 14 I played every NHL and AHL game in GM mode. I love NHL 15 and I'm having a blast playing GM mode.
