I like that they went full 3-ring circus by cracking certain stats on these cards. Basically the same as every Chara with 90+ skating we've gotten for a decade. If you're going to give us 12 Brian Leetch cards (undoubtedly in week 2), at least make one unique with a few juiced numbers that make it fun.

I never understood the hype for Sundin. Way too slow. Since when has the meta in hut been size over skill and speed? When Barkov and Aho came out i went with Aho because he had the edge in Skating and shooting. I always thought the meta in hut was speed kills because everyone just wants to burn down the wings and get easy breakaways.

@@juneda3321 this play style really only works against low skill players. once u get div3 to div 1 the game and play style changes. the better players are far more patient with the puck and looking to pass first so speed gets surpassed by size and skill. better players have the awareness as well to get back and not make horrible turnovers that lead to breakouts.

this event is actually insane, comparing the holos to this it’s not even close where value goes. makes the only chase cars worth going for the XF Mcdavid. wonder what week two will be seeing that none of the holos got an upgrade from the event at all. now i’m stuck on who i should make and replace in my team since my team is stacked now and i got a lot of good players and synergies active

Tiny bit of a rant, Gotta be honest i really dont understand such negativity from such an amazing event. Sure on release they may be better than some of the PUI's but that wont be the case all year.. The PUIs while slow will keep upgrading ALSO what if you're not a fan of the PUI or on the other side Gallery of Greats player options? This gives great selection to have amazing player options for some of the most legendary players to touch the ice. I have 2 PUI's and i absolutely love them and dont feel jipped at all. A Teams 24 players let me fill up all my lines with awesome cards! Cheers love the content!

Played all the GOG moments and completed wildcard using GOG players. After 40 games with 89 Yzerman. Might be the worst card in the game. No card gets knocked off the puck more than this card. I have Gretzky and Mario. Yzerman isn’t in the same world as Gretzky and Mario. Didn’t even win all the face offs with 99 faceoffs. Card is tweaking. Most disappointing card I’ve used this year. Ray Bourque card was great, but I will wait till week two to see if I build anything or not, since I don’t need another LH defenseman.

Yep they are too grindy and annoying as hell. Btw remember that before the game, in the jersey selection screen, you can position lock to right defender by hitting L3 iirc, that helped for me.

There was a series 2 card accidentally leaked by EA in the game but it was removed. Even still EA is waiting to long. Alot of people quit by Feb or right after TOTY. X FACTOR cards are only good if you got a favorite player you really like and want to keep using. I wouldnt make them for Meta.

That's not the rug pull. It's EA telling all of us that high end players with 0 cost abilities are expensive and rare...thus convincing everyone to grind for Holos, Team Builders, and Charged cards. But now this event, they said "Oh, just kidding". Until these MSPs are outdated...which won't be for months, with their maxed stats combined with 0 cost abilities, there's no point grinding for any of the cards EA told us were a big deal.

That super charged Mcdavid and all the icons were so expensive I just avoided them at all costs. Packs aren't worth buying. Chase card sets aren't worth completing. Objectives are nothing more than chores. At what point do people just give up on HUT? It's been mismanaged into the ground. HUT is the Cleveland Browns of ultimate team modes.

yeah and no, i mean if u plan on playing that long i guess. 90% of players will quit or be with me playing chel in two or three months not joking, its like this every year and chel is growing year by year and players seem to really enjoy it more then hut. when hut gets to 93 or 94 overall the game is dead and most cards have almost 99 everything and players lose interests quick at that point.

I do not think EA pulled the run on holo grinders, i think this event was planned ahead to go along Christmas and the inflow of new players. I believe holos will get upgrades in a month or so. Still waiting on new auston mathews cards 🫤
