​@herpderp9108 this, 100%. I am ashamed to say I doubted when he struggled his first year in Florida, but it was quite an adjustment to a totally different system. I questioned the massive contract with such promising prospects on the cusp, but look where they are now. A bird in hand better than two in the bush. With a Cup here, Bobrovsky would likely be Hall of Fame bound. Maybe without too. Some just don't want to face reality that he's one of the best goalies of his time. Imagine being the shortsighted foolhardy Flyers GM who traded him for not even a first-round pick, good grief.

As a Canes fan, watching this game has 100% convinced me that the only way we can get over the hump is to get an absolute ringer in net. I see so much of the Canes in how Florida plays, both teams being dominant at 5v5 compared to the Rangers. But the biggest difference is that Florida gets timely saves to preserve their momentum, whereas we give up leaky goals that destroy our momentum.

Depending on if the Rangers respond well on Friday, this honestly (if they go down 0-2 heading to Florida) could be a sweep. Not that in balanced emotional states I'd think the Cats were that much better skill wise, but the Rags looked miserable after the own goal and mental toughness is an even bigger factor in a seven game series than just athletic skill. Rangers have not faced a team like this yet, and the only true competition they had in the Metro was in the Hurricanes who are the farthest thing from violent.

Happy that Florida beats the NYR & their Referees ... about the 2nd goal (the one who was called back) was a good goal ... the #55 of the NYR pushed the Florida Player on the NYR Goalie ... things are going quite weird in Playoffs ... especially since Las Vegas entered the League to finally get the Big Price last year ... we know that the Refs has Issues since the good old days of the NHL.
