I remember back in the day Orr occasionally doing the spinorama play for goals. And Serge Savard, Montreal defenseman, constantly doing it in defensive plays to carry the puck out of danger in his zone.

I hate that the nhl said no shootout spins. Was entertaining. Ps nothing like peak leafs grabovski when he was on his game. So underrated

@@DeltaHighlights Another idea that just came to mind: Do "NHL Prospects meeting NHL Players" Moments. Like when Celebrini met McDavid in the finals this year, and when McDavid met Toews and Kane as a prospect in the 2015 finals

Definitely was, but remember when the NHL was more about hockey and less about microscopes? Much more fun to have that goal count than to spend 5 minutes analyzing it.

Serge Savard was the originator .... sort of - he stole the spin from Doug Harvey - maybe a bit too old school to have Doug Harvey in this video but Serge Savard needs to be in - it's not Denis who had the Savardian Spino-rama - it was Serge for whom the phrase was coined. And they are distant relatives apparently... Serge was born in 1948, Denis in 1961....
