You don’t shake hands Dale Wuss and Emlen or whatever the hell his name is. You only shake hands with people you respect. If you hate him why be a hypocrite and pretend to wish him good luck in the next round.

I agree Lucic is a big baby and he's got no class whatsoever, what's sad is he makes so much money and can't act appropriately in the NHL.
The Truth Hurts2 жыл бұрын
@Andrew Collins yeah ok Ted cruz. You should also play with sportsmanship and if another player treats me like a subhuman on the ice you can bet your life I ain’t gonna pretend to let bygones be bygones and shake hands. The people that pretend and shake hands are hypocrites. For example If a player says some harsh things about your family and you shake his hand 3 hours later than you are a spineless idiot.
Andrew Collins2 жыл бұрын
@The Truth Hurts well I guess I'm more of a positive person then you 😊, if you knew anything about hockey, what happenes on the ice stays on the ice so at the end all beef is suppose to be squished, so I'll say it again he's a baby with no character and you my friend are a very nagative person, goodluck in life with that attitude 😊😊

I will never forget those years, especially that 05-06 playoff run. Magical. I was living in Calgary at the time and, despite being bitter rivals of the Flames, the Oilers had so much support in the city. They had the support of the entire nation from coast to coast. They were going to win it, how could they not after what they had been through? Then Rollie got injured. And the refs were trash.

Going through the handshake line as the losing team has to be the hardest thing in sports. I like it when the winning team keeps their initial celebration brief so as to keep the losing team from waiting around too long. Hockey players are the best.

The 10 years I played hockey, 3 were in goal and I will tell you right now those were the hardest handshakes I’ve given in my entire life. I'm pretty sure it happened after this video was made, but as a Wild fan it was awesome to see the Wild organization pay tribute to Patrick Marleau tying Gordie Howe's games played record which hapoened to occur in Minnesota. The milestone was announced during the game and the Minnesota crowd gave Marleau a long standing ovation and after the game the Wild players all shook Marleau's hand and congratulated him on that truly epic milestone. Marleau is a true class act and even though his team lost the game he graciously stuck around to shake hands afterward. It was one of those "why hockey is the greatest game" moments. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h16kiHZqr6yHY7c

"Accidently meeting Teemu Selanne" I got a job at a hockey rink near Cleveland when I was 20 ( I did not know anything about hockey yet, since than I have become a huge fan, im 24 now) but Teemu Selanne came to our rink to watch his son play and I remember talking to this dude, telling him which rink he'd be on and just had like 5 min conversation with him about the tourney. And I go back into the Zamboni room and everyone and my boss was like "holy shit dude!! Thats crazy, you just met Teemu Salanne" I just said uhm idk who that is? They all got so mad at me haha in a joking manner tho. I went home and looked him up and was mind blown haha He was extremely nice and just seemed like an all around good person. But I did feel dumb as fuck for not knowing who he was at the time.

There are two moments I'd add to that compilation: 1) Sidney Crosby caught on camera shaking hands with Martin St-Louis after his mother passed away. I thought that was super classy. A bit less classy for whoever hid in the corner to film it though. 2) It's just a picture, so maybe it didn't fit, but it tells so much: A bloodied Maurice Richard shaking hands with black-eyed Bruins goaltender Jim Henry after the Canadiens eliminated the Bruins in the '52 playoffs. Henry seemed to bow down to Richard in a sign of utmost respect. In my opinion, the most badass photo in sports history. Most people simply refer to it as "The Handshake".

@Alex Silver any organization involving jack edwards is a disgrace to the universe. Every time an opponent gets injured he laughs or says they are faking an injury.
