They never recovered from letting go of Panarin (how on earth could they do that) and losing Hossa in the same year.. they had some good things brewing with Hagel emerging.. and then they trade him in his breakout year.. I was shocked several days after that.. then they just went full steam to be the worst team in the league as the new GM was so in love with the rebuild idea.

I’m not saying he’s #66-like, all I’m saying it’s quite normal for the first overall pick to have a rough start in the league and brought up Mario’s stats in that department for reference. He gave up after that 2nd goal. The third goal was bad. I've watched Mrazek since he started with the Wings and when he gets sloppy with his lateral movement, he loses his positioning with the net and is all over the place. Like that third goal. But he can be a beast when his movement is dialed in right. The problem is, you never know which Mrazek you're going to get each game.
