It also took Leon letting off gas as he was closer to Nate and should have been an easy deflection. Took 3-4 things working perfect to get the shot and goal. But it happened!

As an Avs fan, I'm just enjoying it while it lasts. Looking at the Denver Broncos, I know once ownership or management changes, the team will not be good for a very long time. Same goes for whenever Sakic leaves the team through retirement or death. MacKinnon, Rantanen, and Makar are all going to be in the hall of fame.

@Nate-hj5sv Sportsnet is a canadian sports broadcaster. Pretty much the ESPN of Canada. They have different hires for broadcasting and media coverage. Typically their media coverage like KZbin and their app are very average at best. If you read some of the descriptions for the highlights, it looks like a high school student wrote them, and on occasion their audio and video editing screws up. Overall their decent at their job, better than I'd ever be but it's humorous to see the mistakes.

I’m a die hard Canucks fan and going from the Canucks game over to the oilers game last night what a difference. I don’t know what’s up with the Canucks but they have been mediocre at best for the better part of the last 2 months. The speed and skill in the avs oilers game was unreal. Canucks gave a lot to learn if they want to win a round in the playoffs.

As an Avs fan, I am biased towards MacKinnon obviously but no one can deny both MacKinnon and McDavid are the best of the best. Love watching both these teams play, Georgiev always plays better than usual against players in Oilers jerseys

@@lukel1878 Stats aren't exactly accurate. Georgiev is now 5-1-3 all time against them, and completely walled McDavid in the allstars this season. Most goalies against the Oilers have a bad GAA. Georgiev was the prime reason the Avs won this game imo, Georgiev is a mediocre goalie at best but naturally does play better than his usual self against them, at least so far this season

Nate used the glass to see arturi and placed a perfect pass. Really amazing to see the effort and the vision. Nate is the best player this year. Most explosive and exciting hockey being played. And it’s great to see the office place some real talent that’s matched very well for the fast paced team. Walker is probably the best low key pick up this year in the nhl. Doubt he’ll match Bowen’s pace but who knows.. both players in that trade are better placed within their teams. Good to see.

as an Avs fan that was a hell of a game. Mad offensive rushes, rapid-fire shots, goalies in near-impenetrable mode; McDavid doing McDavid things: miracle moves/spins....excitement galore! And an ending befitting of such a wickedly good contest. respect to BOTH teams for putting on a clinic. Just quietly, I like the Oilers colours. But as an Avs man I'm very pleased with that outcome. What a spectacle :)
