Great to see the return of the Hartford Whalers uniforms in celebrating the teams past . Nice touch to include the distinctive goal horn from the Civic Center when the Whalers scored. Great memories. BTW Andersen did some nice saves but on some goals that he allowed look very ordinary.

Swayman isn't a 'backup' lol. He's a starter just like Ullmark. 1A 1B. He could be an actual 'starter' though on some teams. But, not many teams have goalies who play 60-65 games anymore. a few here and there but becoming far less common.

B’s weren’t missing those guys when they lost 1-4 to the Canes back in January. (That said, Boston will no doubt be tough to beat in 7.) Andersen made some great saves, but he also gave up at least two softies tonight. Canes have had a serious 2nd period problem lately, and Aho only seems to show up in the 3rd. But if they sort that out soon, the playoffs are going to be fun.

If I were a Bruins fan I'd be a tad bit more worried than the Canes, both teams are missing major players and Andersen being constantly ON & off is a serious issue, but the Bruins had their 2 first goals thanks to Pastrnak on shots that Andersen should have easily blocked (the first one made Fredrik look like a minor league replacement goalie), while the Canes scored from 3 different lines on shots coming from slightly better "constructed" plays overall, which shows the Canes are resilient enough in their systems to compensate for the absentees.

@@miikkakoskela9009 Oh I know, but we're at this sad time of the year when injured players tend to come back only to be replaced in the infirmary by an other important guy. I sincerely wish on the Bruins for instance for Pastrnak to stay healthy all the way, cause in my eyes he's more deserving of the Hart than anyone else in the league this year and i want him to be able to see this through. But i noticed that the Bruins (not as severely as the Oilers or the Rangers but still) have slightly more overworked their top line than the Canes, the Stars and maybe the Devils. There's a slight chance It could cost them a few scares in the Playoffs while the Canes seem almost unphased with losing such a major dude as Svechnikov and that's very impressive to me. Says a lot about the strength of their tactical plays & strategies and their capacity to get guys out of the bench to implement them on short notice.

Another fluke goal gets the Bruins a win! Pastrnak's first goal wasn't even a shot, the puck had rolled of his stick, he had lost control of the puck and the momentum of the puck found it's way through Anderson. And no Pastrnak didn't intentionally do it! No fluke goal and it 3-2 Canes at the end of regulation!
