as a Sens fan Montreal is a secondary guilty pleasure for me despite being a division rival I love seeing you guys doing well, hopefully the kid works out well for you. we also tend to share our common hatred of anything Leafs which are an insufferable franchise. as a Canadian if I had a choice between the Leafs being the only Canadian team to ever win a cup again or an American team winning every year from here on out I would hope Americans win every single time.

I'm an Oiler fan and that rematch of the Cup Finals in Edmonton hurt... So it's great to see the Habs wreck them in their home lol. Dobes was great and Dach's hard work paid off well this game with some great hockey IQ being in the right place at the right time and finishing the good chances. Imagine in a few years once Demidov is activated and gets some NHL time and hopefully the Habs don't get plauged with injuries. I'd have to say Habs is my second most exciting team to watch behind of course my biased love of Oilers Also, happy to see Patrick Laine didn't get injured after the beating he got from the darn Blue Jackets. Montambault has plateaued. I don't think there is another level in him. He isn't an NHL number one goaltender. He is nothing more than a stop gap until the emergence of Dobes or Fowler. Dobes, at 6ft5, if you noticed, they tried to pick the corner above his shoulder a couple of times, not with the way he covers. Montambault gets beaten on those numerious times throughout the year. It will be Dobes and Fowler in the future. Montambault won't be part of this team in 2-3 years.

"Monty" isn't a number one goaltender, there are too many holes in his game, he scrambles and can't do what Dobes can do, consistently catch the puck to stop the play. He gets beaten over his shoulder several times a year, they tried it twice with Dobes today and learned pretty quickly that there is no hole there. Mentally, Montambault can't handle more than 3-4 games in a row without a hiccup.

Stunning. Come on, no one would have called a rookie goalie and the current Canadiens' defensive unit pulling this off. Couple of smush goals but plenty of hustle and keeping stupid "turnovers/miscues". especially in their own end, to a minimum...stifling any possible comeback (unlike yet another #$^%&! blown 3rd period lead in Columbus the other night). When they keep beating the teams they should beat, if playing in all aspects to their potential, AND also begin beating teams they most likely shouldn't at least half the time, then we know the rebuild has finally taken hold. Wouldn't it be something else if Dobes a one of the keys to that happy trend.
