YUP!....2 good goalies. Vets like Gudas and Trouba on Defence, some very nice offensive weapons. They are not really pushovers....San Jose is not as crappy as a lot of people think. They are putting it together there as well. Cellebrini is a legit Superstar. Utah is getting there too. This has become a "no nights off" Conference.

⁠@@SylviusTheMadI love bouchy and his cup run last year was unbelievable but stop comparing him to ALL-TIME GREATS like Coffey . He is nowhere near Coffey!!! But when fans / folks compare Bouchard to Coffey (aka oilers legend) Bouchard thinks he has to do something spectacular every time he’s on the ice when that’s just impossible. Like bill belichick famously says “JUST DO YOUR JOB” bouchy doesn’t need to be Coffey but fans like you keep comparing Coffey to him so he think he needs to be Paul freaking Coffey which is obviously way too high an expectation and causes Bouchard to make at least 1 or 2 brutal decisions a game, usually leading to a goal against. When ALL BOUCHY HAS to do is PLAY HIS GAME AND HE’LL BE an AMAZING PLAYER.

I was at this game and Anaheim played amazing genuinely thought we were in trouble around 10 minutes left in the 3rd they played well all around and really should have at least gotten a point but leons quick release was the determining factor

A win’s a win, but yeah, close game could go either way... Bouchard's turnover leading to Ducks’ goal was unacceptable, and he’s not offering much offensively to make up for it. Defensively, he was a liability tonight. He’s not even been hitting the net on his bombs lately. If he keeps this up, it’s hard to justify his ice time, let alone a big money extension. Classic Bouch does Bouch things...

Bouchard is on his way to get a 50 - 60pts pts, he's +8 and can get 20 goals this season, 11 goals away from tying his career high with 42 games left. Yeah he has bad and costly games, relax. He'll have his 2nd best season of his career. Guy is definitely worth 22min ice time and is sitting 3rd on the team with pts. He's a huge asset to the team and I know he'll be playing harder as we progress through the season. I think Edmonton was in a crappier position same time last year, or close to it before we went nuts. Have faith in the Bouche!

I disagree, a defenseman should not be giving away at least 1-2 grade A chances with lousy play every single game. Sure, every 5th game he scores a "bomb", but he causes 10 terrible situations(not exagerrated numbers) in the same timeframe. 1 goal to 10 rage inducing giveaways = terrible defenseman. What saves his stats is assists.

Didn’t see Perry get dumped in the corner on Nurse’s goal, looked (much less but) similar to the one at the end of last year that had him banged up. Learning moment for McTavish, he collects himself while both Draisaitl and Hyman make their way from above the circle to the slot/hashmarks. Leaves Drai open and an absolute snipe for the game winner. McTavish is legit though. Unreal performance from the Oil tonight

What? This is some of the best hockey they've played all season. They are very young and gaining confidence. It may be painful and frustrating at times, but it will sort itself out. That was a good game played by the Ducks. They just beat the Oil at home, Devils at home, Jets at their barn and lost by a goal to the Oilers. I'm proud of these guys, they are working hard.

Bouchard is the least responsible 'defense'man in the NHL! I would never want to be his D partner. At least one turnover leading to a goal every game. He is a BIG reason Oilers won't win the Cup this season. Put him on the PP and then put him on the bench the rest of the game! Ugh!

Ideally, Bouchard would be a 3rd pair defenseman manning the top powerplay unit, but there would still be the risk of giving up short-handed goals. Normally, his offensive game outweighs his defensive game, but he needs to increase his scoring a lot this season to justify his icetime. Call up a solid AHLer and bench Bouchard when he makes a bad play. Perhaps that would teach him?
