It's because they haven't got a chance to learn to play together. We always get cursed with these lineup changes the last couple years. We can't throw new players in there and expect them to be instantly good together.

If you give your team's best playdriver (Ehlers) 13 min a night then you deserve to loose. That guy just needs to play on L1

@@lilgustav5065 It's funny that literally every single time the Jets 1st line can't score Ehlers is moved up there with Scheifele and suddenly they score. When Ehlers played with Scheifele and Vilardi they were literally the best line in hockey in that time span! But the Jets coaching stuff keep making weird decisions like playing Iaffalo who's a 3rd liner by nature on the top line, playing Perfetti on the 4th where he obviously doesn't fit or giving Appleton 3rd line deployment while he obviously is the weak link there.. sames with Namestnikov, he is one of the few smart playdrivers on the team and is being burried on the 4th over Appleton... I just don't get it but hey here we go, I am no NHL head coach :))

@@abliteration1868 you are 100% correct 👍 I’ve played enough and watched enough hockey to know that every team regardless of how good or bad they are in the NHL (and all leagues) eventually go on a downswoon for 3-4 games or 5-7 games. Yes, they’re world-class athletes, but they’re human beings too. This loss will not affect the Winnipeg Jets in any way. Being the NY Isles fan that in am? We (Isles) are always a day late and a dollar short! Where the f#%k was this type of play when we needed it the most against Detroit on Thursday night?! Like I said- “Always a day late and a dollar short with the NY Islanders!”

It’s nice to see the officials are getting into playoff form. No disrespect to the fair-weather hockey fan but we hardcore hockey and NHL fans know that the NHL playoffs are nothing like the NHL regular season or the NFL playoffs. The whistles get put away and the NHL officials let the players play. It’s up to the players who decide, who’s going to win the Stanley Cup🏆and I love it!

As an Islanders fan, too little too late Islanders. Making the playoffs now is almost impossible. Why you guys decide to do this every year and go right to the wire is beyond me. You had just won 6 games in a row, were in a playoff spot and were masters of your own destiny. Then you blew it and lost 6. I want you to make the playoffs, but honestly, I doubt you will. Too little too late. You're going to need more luck than a Jets team that slept on you today.

I think Ted Nolan should become Patrick's assistant coach.. or maybe Patrick's not the coach for them, personally, I don't think he's the right coach.....and Lou should've made some changes, ( when he had the chance) now who cares. @@LincolnJamesHeathrowIII Ted Nolan would be great. But yeah, last year I enjoyed the playoff push, but this year I'm going to keep one eye and one ear open only as the season ends. Do the Isles really expect us to get excited about today's win? Florida will remind the Isles who they are next week and now the Isles fate depends on the Caps and Detroit when a few days ago they had a clear path, just had to keep pace. No thanks I've got better things to do that get hopeful for them. 6 wins then 6 losses, that's inexcusable in late March.

Unfortunately, the Islanders, defending, remind the Rangers of the previous 2 - 3 seasons - to press around the goal, giving a lot of free space to the opponent, to play in their own zone. At the same time, covering the "stage" of your goalkeeper, limiting the visibility of the opponent's shots.
