This Wings team under Todd is legitimately a good team. We limited high danger scoring chances and everyone is chipping in right now. Gus, Kasper, and Senko all had two points. Thats 7 straight, go Wings. I have to give Kaner more praise. The way he slows the game down with his patience is impressive. Dude is a hockey sorcerer.

The fact that it took a coaching change to make the Wings play competitively makes me both happy and angry. I can't imagine how boring and unlikable Lalonde had to be to make these players so lethargic.

We can blame the loss partially on Grubauer and partially on other factors. The Kraken still must be able to regularly score more than two goals a game.

Grubauer had no chance at the first 3 goals.. What shall he do if a player in front of him gets the stick on a shot changing the direction completely? Grubauer is a good goalie and there are games he won nearly alone for the kraken.... I'm happy for the wings and McLellan, i hope they continue!

@michaelscore6763 Grubauer has been good; he once helped the Kraken to make the playoffs. I believe he had a chance on the third goal because, leading up to the pass to DeBrincat, he is not in a butterfly stance. He is standing erect and therefore cannot extend his left leg as much to make it to DeBrincat's shot. I can't prove that things would have been different if he'd been in the butterfly, but I suspect it.

@ColinHurkett the third goal was a hard high very good placed shot... I remember a few games ago against the oilers. Grubauer was by far the best kraken on the ice!

See Grubauer for the third goal. Much of the time, he is not in a butterfly stance but is standing erect. Probably it's the reason he couldn't get to his right in time to stop DeBrincat. There wasn't enough strength in his left leg.
