The Blackwood trade completely ruined this team. Compare how the Sharks played in November/December to now. Grier got fleeced by Colorado. We can only hope the youngsters take a huge leap next season. I'm not trusting Grier knows what he's doing.

I wouldn't say Grier got fleeced. Blackwood was set to become a UFA at the end of this season, and the Sharks weren't going to sign him to an extension. So one of the things Grier got for the Sharks was a second round pick. I don't think anyone really could have predicted Georgiev would have been THIS bad. If Georgiev had been ok-ish then he might have fetched a third or fourth at the trade deadline for some team desperate for a goalie. Unfortunately, the way he has been playing, I don't think the Sharks will be able to flip Georgiev for anything (als, Shark's can't eat any of his contract since the Sharks are still paying for Burns, Hertl, and EK65 as well, and all teams are limited to retaining the salary of max 3 players.

And it’s not like we were making playoffs this year and most likely not next year if we had Blackwood, I think it’s a good move, 1 more high draft pick this year, and Askerov gets thrown in the tandem next year

That you think Grier got Fleeced is crazy. The only thing the sharks have lost is more meaningless wins. A 2nd rounder and Kovy for a guy Grier was not going to pay 4+ million for in blackwood who was going to leave anyway.

i do believe that defense structure is more crucial. after pinning the skating formation, you could ask goalies to save some more difficult shots.

This was a rough one. Nice to see Smith score a goal as his development continues to progress. Once again the sharks blue line looks like a bunch of traffic cones out there on the ice. I think we need to send Askarov down the second Vanacek is back, these games can't be good for his confidence level.

Man.. most Sharks hockey I've seen lately has looked somewhat respectable, but the 2nd period in this game looked like pros vs Joes. No defense by SJ and Florida just tapping in goal after goal, elite pass after elite pass. The least competitive game I can remember watching in a long time.

Guaranteed. His stock couldn't be lower. No team will pick him and he'll probably playing for Kunlun or something. He has no business playing in the NHL.

Молодцы коты.......очередная победа, пусть над слабым соперником, а потому и больше шайб забито.......так держать......осталось еще 32 игры.......все стремятся в плей-офф и многих команд, такие как Вашингтон, Торонто, Коламбус вырос значительно уровень игры........поэтому в каждой игре нужно максимально стараться, как на последний бой......желаю "Флориде Пантерз"- самой лучшей команде лиги, только побед!

Вот в матче недавнем московского Динамо и питерского СКА тренер динамовцев заменил при счёте 0:3 динамовского вратаря и динамовцы выиграли переломив ход матча 5:3. Просто тут у Саши не пошла игра так бывает, поэтому я понимаю что нет ему достойного вратаря и если бы была замена, то скорей всего (быстрей всего) вратарь другой сказал, что он так не готов стоять.

Напомню, встречались победитель последнего розыгрыша Кубка Стэнли и последняя команда того чемпионата. В данный момент две команды находятся на совершенно разном уровне по качеству состава, индивидуальному и совокупному классу игроков, опыту, сыгранности, менталитету, тренерскому штабу и т.д. В 2000-е годы было обратное соотношение сил, тогда у Сан-Хосе был отличный состав (Торнтон, Марло, Павелски, Чичу, Набоков, также в отдельные годы за "шаркс" играли Селянне, Хитли, Вернон и т.д.) и долгое время Сан-Хосе считался одной из сильнейших команд Запада. Флорида же в те годы болталась на дне, после 2000 года Флорида смогла пробиться в плей-офф только в сезоне 2011-12 годов. Через 7-8 лет ситуация может развернуться на 180 градусов, те команды, которые сейчас системные аутсайдеры (Сан-Хосе, Чикаго, Анахайм, Филадельфия, Юта, Баффало) могут стать лидерами (пара-тройка команд из этого списка точно станут гораздо сильнее чем сейчас), а те команды, которые сейчас лидеры (Тампа, Флорида, Эдмонтон, Вегас) станут аутсайдерами с очень слабым составом.

Очень жаль Георгиева, но проблема не в нем а в защитниках, достаточно вспомнить прошлий сезон, где Георгиев, если я не ошибаюсь брал участие в all star game. В данный момент у акул как по мне отличный воротник, но защитники полный провал. Лично я перестал болеть за колорадо, из за того что они скинули Георгиева. Дай Бог что б колорадо не прошли в плей офф.😮)
