The sharks had no business being competitive in this game let alone getting a point. Yaroslav Askarov saved them from a blowout loss. He was on another level. Multiple highlight reel saves on some of the best players in the league. I was surprised to see Rutta get a goal.

Rutta has such a bad shot and Blackwood would have let in some of those.

Blackwood was top 15 in numerous goaltending categories when he was with us. And he’s been dominant in Colorado. If we were actually trying to contend we would not have traded him.
@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants6 сағат бұрын
@@seangalvin672 Goalie stats can lie a lot both in positive and negative ways. Askarov has a loss from being goalie today as an example. The sharks should not be trying to contend like most teams who are buyers at trade deadlines or just keep what they have even though they rentals. Sturm, Kunin, Granny, VV and Geo could all go. It is smarter to get something good like blackwood got with all of them and if he wants to keep them he can tell them become a free agent and we will make you an offer.
@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants5 сағат бұрын
@@seangalvin672 Sturm has looked a lot better to me this season. He has benefited a lot from the roster upgrade but he personally looks better to me. Kunin has been an offensive spark also. Well, I mean, you have to understand, it was a tough game. The Sharks were really good at not scoring, so that makes it harder to win. Plus, it was a back-to-back, and we were probably saving our energy for the real competition. Also, the ice was a little slippery, and I heard the Sharks were using their home rink advantage. So yeah, I mean, we still won, but you can’t always expect a blowout, especially when you’re playing a team with nothing to lose.
