This game was a statement. Yes Defense has been horrid the last few games after the 9 game winning streak. And yes, goaltending is a topic of concern. However, Mac wanted to remind everyone why the Avs are a contender. Do not underestimate this team’s capabilities. The Avs are just fine and the playoffs will be on another level, trust me. Go Avs!

Mack is the most explosive biscuit handler, he's great at catching the D flatfooted, Conner has that ability, and Kuch is the cleverest puck handler in the league, he may not be as explosive but he's the best at moving the puck for excellent scoring opportunities.

There's always going to be a lot of penalties when you're playing a team lightyears better than you. When you can't keep up it leads to penalties. It isn't necessarily discipline.

Sittint your starting goaltender is more about getting the backup reps then it is letting him rest. Starting 80+ games as a goaltender would be easier then a skater playing in 60 games as a former ex semi pro goalie myself into my mid twenties i find it wierd how often goalie starts are made a big deal of like 60 games is literally nothing n would be easy af as goaltending is more mental then it is physical.

Did you even watch the game? Minnesota had 2 powerplay goals (i.e. their only 2 goals of the game) and the Avs only had 1 powerplay goal (out of 5 goals) all of Mackinnons goals were 5v5 on breakaways. Or maybe it's just because powerplays are apart of the game ofc teams will score more being 5v4. Smartest Jets fan I've seen in awhile
