The thing that changed for the Canadiens is Alex Carrier that was acquired from Nashville for Justin Baron. He brings defensive stability: being paired with Ghule( he now plays on his strong . Savard goes on the 3rd pairing..pous Carrier brings experience, and energie, and grit to the team.
@Jaclyn19868 күн бұрын
Exactly. The Sick Podcast was talking about this as well. Carrier was a solid pick up. Great job by pro scouting and Kent.

There are two different mistakes on points percentage in this video. 1: saying by points percent the bruins are out of the playoffs (they aren’t) 2: saying the penguins have a better points percent than the sens (they don’t)

How is it that both Wild and Capitals are -3 spots? In the previous rankings, did you have the Capitals rated above the #1 Wild? Otherwise, it seems the caps moving from #2 to #3 = -1 spots moved, not -3...

32:45 Senator fans have been said that last year as well, but one cannot discount the improved defensive game that the Senators have been playing in front of their net minders. Jensen has been a sneaky good pick-up for them

Hi Jesse. Yeah, it takes some time to use to say 2025. And when you're writing documents where you keed time and place mentioned, well I'll be making 2024 for some of those 💯%. It remains a crime that Hall beat Kopitar for the Hart in 17-18, too. If the best defensive player in hockey scores 90+ points, he's the MVP. But of course writers love themselves a narrative and Hall being traded somehow meant more than, you know, being the best player (plus the usual fact that most hockey writers don't watch Pacific division US teams). Jets I dunno about in terms of a playoff run unless Hellebuyck just wins it for them outright. Lowest expected goals of the big teams, lowest shot for percentage at even strength of the big teams (only one below 50%...)... their numbers are a bit weird atm. Dallas also has an ABSURD share of power play time (57%) and still is having problems scoring. It's shocking how bad they are offensively.

Broberg has been good for the Blues as well, until he got hurt.

When was this recorded? Idk if Jets are even top 5 atm if we are looking at recent power. Same with wild, they are prolly more in the 9-12 range.

I think the Habs are showing some great progress, but to me, I want to make sure that this rebuild is done right, I think that the Habs would be best to trade some expire contracts like Jake Evans because his value is really high, David Savard & maybe Mike Matheson if the price is right and than at the draft, start trading all your quantity assets and bring in quality assets to build around.
@GeoGolfer8 күн бұрын
Trading Evans would be a huge mistake. They don’t need picks and they do not have anyone to replace him that’s anywhere close to ready. He’s only 28. Sign him 3x3.5. He wants to stay.

At 4-3-3 the Canucks have 9 teams with worse records... in the past 10 games, they are at best #20. all season, league wide... there is an argument for #13. but if you are looking playoff hopes and divisional progress.... Canucks have been falling fast, barely holding on to a wild card spot. #17 at best... There is no way of looking at stats and saying... "yup... Canucks are definitely a top 10 team"

the avs beat a tired jets team and the next game against the avs is on the second half of a back to back for the jets again seems like the avs are getting the benifit of scheduling here deffinitley not decisive either as the previous commentor said already 2 eng makes things look bad
@pomerlain89248 күн бұрын
@@joeblow666666 We can't keep using the tired excuse for the Jets losses. If this team is supposed to be one of the best, they need to find ways to win these games. Because they're not going to have everything setting up perfectly for them every time. No team does. Contending teams find a way. The Leafs found a way to get wins with half of their line-up being AHL call-ups. The Avs found a way to beat the Sabres twice after facing large deficits in both games. Last year, the Avs won a game in Toronto where they were only able to ice 10 healthy forwards.
