I remember you could score every time you shot from the blue line when you pushed something like Y or X, can't remember which one. The puck would fly straight over the goalies head into the net. lol!

Nostalgia! My team was Detroit Red Wings (my favourite team, despite me being from Toronto when they were great contenders and the Maple Leafs weren’t it) The best (as in Easiest) team to play against was the Anaheim Ducks. Any breakaway and the apparent Ducks Goalie’s slow glove hand turned into a shooting (goal) gallery. 7-0, 8-0 etc.

I remember being super impressed with how this game looked (as I did with any Mode 7-heavy SNES game) and sounded (like most SNES games honestly) but the gameplay was just ok.

That was 8 year old me. I was so excited for this game because I saw how it looked at a store and how it looked so much better than NHL 94. Turns out NHL 94 was the all time classic.

I hated this as a kid. The gameplay was terrible. It felt like a hockey game made by people who have never played real life hockey before. It felt like you were a hockey player who could only look forward and you never had any idea of what was going on where anybody was if they weren't directly in front of you.
