Personnally i liked when Chris scored goals add that to his defending his team mates made Chris a very loved Montreal player. He still is popular in MTL. A good hearted man

Yep in the early 80's u just saw the energy he brought to the team and his love for le flannel. Damm shame Perron took him off the #1 checking line. I remember as a kid i saw my first game in 81 and Lafleur got boarded hard and everyone around my was saying ." Nilan's gonna get him"

I will save you guys an hour. Scored 21 goals. Fought O'reilly(but loves him). Lemaire took the time to coach him. Larry Robinson helped him skate at the NHL level. Pudding head. Rick Middleton's teeth. Whitey Bulger. Covered it all without even watching it.

Probert was on drugs so he was getting extra space for that and his fighting skills. 48" long arms. Be honest.

With all due respect to Chris, you used 'superstar' and 'Chris Nilan' in the same sentence? Kinda hard to take anything you say seriously, after that...

All Star team. Suck it :)

Give me a break,, a Superstar ?? he wasn't even a star,,a GOON is what he was and nothing more,,hit guys when they were down, like the O'Riely hit,,a cheap shot artist and nothing more. Nick,,I see you are a fan of the Habs buy you need a lesson in the game of hockey,,Guys like Probert at least scored goals,,30 one year and He by no means was a " Superstar " .. Great job of Brown Nosing !!

It's not only goals that contribute to a win. Toughness is certainly a plus for the hockey club too.

Chris Nilan is a freaking star, plus add to that his 1991 NHL All Star team selection 😤. OUR Superstar! How much do you hate him @ronproietti6050 ? Pissed off yet? 😅😂

Sounds like you live in a fantasy world,, Cheap shot artist and would never survive in today.s NHL,,couldn't keep up,,a poor skater and hands of stone,,good to sucker punch perhaps but nothing else,, Happy dreams,
