The Pittsburgh Penguins jersey with just the "P" is a throwback to the old Pittsburgh Pirates hockey team of the 1920s.

I'd argue that the Winter Classic 'D' jersey for Detroit is the most "Winter Classic" of all these jerseys. Look up practice sessions from their first season in the league. They'd regularly practice on outdoor rinks wearing these jerseys. Paired with the striped socks, it's a very classic look.

My top three would be 09 Wings, 14 capitals and 1 the 2016 bruins jersey, it became an alternate for a while, because of how good it looked. I would love to see that come back at some point.

That secondary shoulder patch on the Predators sweater is amazing. I wish they would release a third sweater using that patch as the crest

All-time fav has to be the Red Wings 2009, followed by Bruins 2010, Flyers 2012, and maybe Seattle cuz of the history behind it.

One design element i can not stand is the skinny shoulder yokes, as introduced by the 2020 Stars WC jersey. Minnesota wore it in 2022, Boston and Pittsburgh both did it in 2023, and Vegas is doing it as well. The Leafs 2022 Reverse Retro uses them too. It is sooooo unnecessary and looks horrible!

Detroit should use that "D" Winter Classic jersey as a alternate during the season. Same w/Chicago - that 2-tone jersey is incredible, as is the red & black one w/cream/vintage white .... And the Habs one is better than their current white one....sick !

I love when leagues issue special jerseys like NHL's Winter Classic/Stadium Series & NBA back in the early 2000s when they did those Xmas Day jerseys w/the festive ornament font PS Coyotes should host a Winter Classic with an area for sun bathers

That original Sabres jersey may look not very creative, but I’m pretty sure at the time there was a different logo than the one we see today… so this really was a throwback just it doesn’t look like it today

There is a little context into the Flyers 2010 jersey though. It was the first time they used that particular style jersey in almost 30 years, yes they switched to that after the 2010 season. Up to that game though this jersey was not used.

Honestly, if you told me that 2023 Pens jersey was a Predators jersey, I would believe you. The black could easily be a very dark navy blue, and the stripe on the back of the neck screams NASCAR more than Pittsburgh's flag.

Respect your right to have an opinion yet wholeheartedly disagree with your opinions. When it comes to winter classics, the Red Wings and Penguins do it best. Shame to have either Red Wings so low, let alone both. Both are objectively top 5 for different reasons.

Stars have been around since '67. What I do think is that they should've used their Winter Classic sweaters to reference their North Stars days
