"If you're mental when you start you're mental when you finish". The leaving statement of every health advisor who has been shouted at, told to die, had to listen to multiple self harm and suicide attempts, listen to a woman having a miscarriage, a woman telling you how she was listening to her husbands last breath and all while you're told to get back on the phone by supervisors who couldn't give a fuck. And all after just 2 weeks training. Care UK - home of no care UK

Thank you for contacting Health Careers. NHS 111 call handlers handle calls from members of the public about non-emergency health problems. They will typically use specialist computer software to provide the caller with an appropriate response to their healthcare needs within a timeframe. There are no set entry requirements to become an call handlers but employers expect good standards of literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Some may ask for qualifications such as GCSEs, NVQs or equivalent. Employers often ask for relevant work experience. Even where this is not specified, it would be an advantage if you have worked in a call centre or other customer service or healthcare role. As the job involves night shifts, some employers specify that you have to be 18 to apply. We recommend that you visit the NHS Jobs website, where you can search for job and apprenticeship vacancies with NHS employers across England and Wales, and apply online. By looking at the job description for each vacancy, you can find out what the jobs duties and responsibilities are; and by reading the person specification, you can view the exact requirements for the vacancy, in terms of education, skills, and experience. Please find the website here: www.jobs.nhs.uk You can read more about integrated urgent care/NHS 111 roles on our website: www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/wider-healthcare-team/roles-wider-healthcare-team/clinical-support-staff/integrated-urgent-carenhs-111-roles Best wishes Health Careers Team

To all the people in Bristol When calling 111 plz make sure to speak to someone who is from Uk. I called 111 yesterday regarding that I don’t feel well I was connected to person that hardly spoke English and I told her that I have fever and I been coughing all night she told me that I’m suffering from coughing nothing to worry I should continue with my daily life is normal 😡 after one hour my condition got worst so I decided to ring 111 again and this time I spoke to lady who was from NHS Bristol she told from what I’m telling her that I might have COV19 and I should self isolate and I was contacted by actually doctor who told me that there is high chance I have COV19.The frist lady I spoke to was not from this country she was normal call handler maybe from India who doesn’t have any medical knowledge so my question and my reason to share this with everyone is that the government is playing games with people life if I would listen to frist lady and didn’t call 111 again a lot people would got ill 😷 seriously guys speak to no one other then medical staff or doctors from NHS uk refused to speak anyone that sounds like foreign and sound like someone that maybe sounds like it is from aboard don’t put your life and the life others at risk 😀

Complete waste of time, would not waste my time contacting these people! Chances are you will lose the will to live waiting to actually speak to someone so if you are seriously ill, chances are you will be dead before you speak to someone! Hardly suprising people just end up going directly to A&E!
