If recoverable amount is greater than the carrying value, how do we then record on the financial statements?

The asset is still carried at the Carrying Amount, because it hasn't suffered an Impairment loss

The recoverable amount is the higher of : a) Fair value less cost of sale (NetBook Value) and b) Value in Use
