Let me repeat, Kamal can never act as Kattapomman or any king role that Sivaji did as character. you know why, kamal will surely project his own personality or try to indicate his cleverness but Sivaji transform as lawyer he just lawyer , you can not find Sivaji there. Check vietnam veedu role. You would not find sivaji over there. Kamal is a great actor but trained and wanted to project with new roles and of course show his talent. but sivaji absorb like sponge and reflect. Just check both of their movies. So your comparison needs to be revised. if someone dance well but other can speak with clear tones. Just imagine, if kamal speak some classical dialogues attended by Sivaji. You would find kamal's tone overlapped the role's emotions.

both of them show so much humility love n respect f0r one another, in a class of their own,,, i love them both, Mr kamal is a treasure for Indian cinema if not world,, he always speaks with such humility and respect n careful chosen words, im in awe of him, when rajnikanth spoke about their friendship goes way back n told everyone Kamal was already a superstar back in the 70s, wow that was mind bblowing,,,,only in kamal movies ive cried...ambe Sivam, Thenali, thevar magan, salangggai oli, Uttama villian, the ending part of 16 vaithiniley, now waiting for Indian 2
