11:40 you could have clicked the 4.00 in tuning and typed in the .1 or .23 whatever you wanted so you don't have to go under the hood for fine tuning! Man, this tutorial was exactly what I was looking for. I'm pretty new to kontakt so I was thinking of one thing in particular that I'm sure can work now. If you have a strings patch loaded, you should be able to use a controller to fade in some vibrato. I don't know exactly how yet but this vid gives me some clue now at least. Thanks a lot!!!

@pablo12co yes. In this case, we're using some basic principles of granular synthesis to break the link between pitch and time in our sample.
@CubeableGame11 жыл бұрын
Kontakt is in fact, a virtual synthesizer. A sequencer is needed to load Kontakt like Cubase or Logic. As for your organ, the only way to use it with Kontakt, is as a MIDI controller. If it's an analog only organ it cannot be used, unless you have an advanced sound card. Analog instruments however, are superior to any digital clone and I do encourage the use of analog equipment in music.

Well, of course I couldn't find a way to link an LFO to the mod wheel or joystick so that when I push the controller (joystick) up, it brings in the LFO modulation. I could only get the LFO to fade in automatically after X ms. :( How can I tell kontakt to LINK the new LFO modulator to my mod wheel or joystick? Thanks, Tim

Right click the knob or control click for Mac, pick midi learn and then move the knob on the controller you want to control the knob you right clicked (or control clicked)
@TruthSurge11 жыл бұрын
Kettlebell Heaven made a note of that and when I finally GET a new keyboard controller, I'll try it. sold my M1 b4 getting something else and having to try two controllers to see what keys i like best. should get this launchkey soon and I'll see how it feels. i have the impulse but keys are just too stiff for me. i'm sure they feel great to most people but... i'm not most people. hehe thanks!
@kettlebellheaven675611 жыл бұрын
It works. I am always afraid to push a button unless I know what it does. Afraid I'll muck it up forever. Midi learn is the way.
@TruthSurge11 жыл бұрын
Kettlebell Heaven I hope this launchkey has soft keys. The impulse looks and feels amazing except the keys to me are a tad hard to push but I like them really light cuz I'm a guitarist with crap fingertips from injuries so I need them light. I should get it maybe Monday and whatever, I'll find one that works for me and see what I can figure out. Just thought that some violin parts could use a controlled vibrato. I mean, fading in vibrato is a crucial part of a lot of strings playing and it amazes me that I never saw that implemented until Spitfire Audio's Sable strings library. I keep thinking it's 2013. hahah thanks.
@PicturesLegit10 жыл бұрын
Kettlebell Heaven if you start a project/instrument with no intention to actually make an instrument, but with the intention to first see what you come up with, and second, to see what each button does, then you'll learn a lot very quickly.

But can these created sample instruments be saved as a VST library (easily, without coding)? My goal is to create new instruments that can be performed in the playback of notation programs like Sibelius, Finale and Notion.

How do I edit zones individually ? I’m thinking about if I Chop up a Vocal samle with the grid in kontakt. Then i get like 5 seperate zones, and I want to edit them individually, but everytime I try to edit one, all of the other zones gets edited AS well ? What is wrong

hi guys...can somebody please help me with this question please...i would like to know how to open a sample in kontakt 4...lets say a vengeance sample...and i want that sample to have the same duration for example in miliseconds across my whole keyboard...ive noticed that when i open my vengeance samples in kontakt 4 that they speed up the higher i go from bass to treble...low to high whatever you want to call it...isnt it possible to have the same articulation or speed no matter which key i press?is it something to do with key follow or key track or something along those lines??please help thankyou
@SnoopDong66612 жыл бұрын
I just had the same problem like an hour ago aha. Just load the mp3s on your DAW then export them as Wav files. Or just convert mp3s to Wav. You can load Wav files like a champ.

@segefjord5 жыл бұрын
Hello! This is because you're using the Kontakt Player version which is free - you need paid version to do this.
@hoodstockreligiontv5 жыл бұрын
Is there any other solution? I mean it's possible in Ableton and any other DAW but Native Instruments. It sucks that the products of Native Instruments costs a lot of money for every little feature other DAWs have.
