This is what I call nonsensical writing. Pong Tua Hai never signed over his land to Ong Goo Kang alias Ong Kim Seng so how could the property now be in Lau An Zhi's name??? The registered owner has to sign over the property before it can be registered in the name of the new owner. You need a legally-registered lawyer to transfer ownership. If this be the case it is extremely dangerous for property owners. Any Tom,Dick or Harry could steal the title of your property to sell or to change to his own name OMG 😲! If such a transfer of ownership could happen without the registered owner signing over transfer in the presence of a legally-registered lawyer then the whole world would surely be in total mess!!! P/s Also I wonder how the middleman Pong Kian Hong (where I live if we are smart/careful only a registered real estate negotiator who is legally attached to a real estate agent/realtor would be able to negotiate on behalf of seller or buyer. The final say is with the seller and buyer who will sign the respective documents before the change of ownership could proceed) could make decisions regarding the huge piece of land his father-in-law had wanted to sell. I wonder how he sold off the land without his fil's signature for the transfer document. If nonsensical writing did not come into play I guess this drama wouldn't last so long 😂.
