Thought I'd go a bit more in-depth about why getting to max level before metamorphosis is important. When you metamorph your familiar, the new form gets more base stats the higher the stats were before it metamorphosed, not taking into account stats gained from equipment. So, for example let's say you have two Mites. One Mite was level 12, the other was level 50. You metamorph both. The level 50 Mite would become a significantly stronger Mighty Mite than the level 12. If you're too lazy to max before metamorphosis that's fine, but if you ever get a familiar that you can't get ever again, let's say from familiar tickets, make sure you get to max before each metamorphosis. You won't get another one so you'd want it to reach it's full potential.

Go to the island of peridia. Go on the east of the island (this part is not part of the mainland and is accessible by the boat) There will be hurlys and mitey mites there. Use swaine to steal from the hurlys. This is one of the fastest methods for getting sundrops.

You are right but the game is a single player game and is not hard enough to need max level familiars. In all honesty it's just a waste of time unless you are doing this for "fun". If you are just doing that because you think it's better but not "fun" then you are wasting your time.

So, to summarize, max out your familiars stats by leveling AND feeding, and then evolve. Idk if he mentioned it, but swapping back and forth between between the familiars favorite treat and the favorite treat is what boosts the growth limit the most. Also, the official guide states that 10% of the stats from the previous form are carried over. Most people agree thst the 1% from the first form isnt really worth it, unless your being a perfectionist.

@@claire4710 if you want your creatures to be as best as possible, max thème out. But it's not compulsary to complete the game. So if you just want to have fun without difficulties or overthinking evolve them as soon as possible. A compromise is to wait they learn every of their skills.

There is a huge high-level familiar that is only reachable after you get the dragon and I've been trying to figure out how to beat it wish I did a search for a video while I was fighting at the last time but the familiar is noticeable right at the start of the game on your way to the giant tree at the beginning of the game which if any players are still playing this game it's always best to go by the tree cuz I also picked up a couple of spells and a couple of items from it

Started playing the game this year, it is a bit unclear on whether to max the familiarity/heart/growth limit at each stage of the familiar or all the 3 stage of a familiar share the same familiarity(5 star max) and we can start doing it at the 3rd stage of a familiar without caring to max it out in the familiar 1st & 2nd stage. I have been looking around online to find a clear guide on this but no luck so far, any clue on this?

from my understanding, each form increases the potential growth limit cap and there is no difference when you start the boosting familiarity. maximum familiarity will award another trick slot in addition to the boosted stats. i personally have always maxed their growth cap before metamorphosis because it is unclear if it makes a difference.

The official guide says that 10% of the stats are carried over when you metamorph. The stat boosts from feeding, however, are said to be separate. A side by side would be necessary to tell for sure, but that's what's generally reported from the official guide.

The Familiarity is what increases the Growth Limit. Specifically, +10 Limit per Familiarity heart. Metamorphosing does not affect either Familiarity or Growth Limit.

I dunno, man. That seems like excessive grinding in a game that doesn't really require it imo. I think it's probably more important to metamorph once you've learned all the familiars tricks but not necessarily max level (i mean, how long do you want the game to take?) Plus im surprised you didn't feed your familiars when that helps a lot with strengthening them. 🤔

You mainly want to do this for familiars that are staying in your party. Puss in Boots for example is a better familiar than the final Mite familiar. Also, if you are fighting Toko's you can cut your grinding time by half. You will need to metamorph them asap since there's a trophy in the game the get 250 familiars.

The length of game is yours to chose. I was more or less way less educated when starting the file than I am now. So feeding wasnt on my agenda back then lmao. To get the highest quality familiars you want to feed them, learn their tricks, and max level them. This will get your familiar to the best stats possible. If you dont know xp grinding methods and or locations, I have videos on my channel if you would like to learn how to level quicker.

For feeding i feel like the first stage doesn't matter on leveling them up with Max hearts at lvl1 as you level up (from lvl 1 to lvl max) with familarity what matters is that you want to max out the familiarity and have ---- Exp gain before 2nd stage metamorphosis For Mitey (Mite) you basically want to get these stats on feeding Atk.+30 = Physical Abilities Def.+5 = Damage Reduction Mag atk.+0 = Magic Abilities Mag def.+5 = Magic Resistance Acc.+5 = Hit Chance (None Abilities) Eva.+5 = Increase Chance For Enemies To Miss More On Normal Attacks (None Abilities) Alt build Atk.+20 Def.+5 (or +10) Mag atk. +10 (or +5) Mag def. +5 (or +10) Acc.+5 Eva.+5 Mite really doesn't need magic attacks but it does learn a few magic abilities like Ray Gun or Slash N Burn having abit of magic attack isnt so bad on mite Familiars like Sid (Seed Sprite) don't need Attack (Atk.) Or Accuracy (Acc.) So their build should look like this Atk.+0 Def.+5 Mag atk.+30 Mag def.+5 Acc.+0 Eva.+5 Alt build Atk.+0 Def.+5 (or +10) Mag atk.+20 Mag def.+5 (or +10) Acc.+0 Eva.+10 (or +5)

Btw if i want to capture all familiars then i don't have to keep familiars to have a heart next to them right? You only need to serenade them to get the heart?

yes, or get them through metamorphosis. you dont have to keep them it will count for all previous forms you had.

This is not worth to do. The gain is maximum 12% at the end max lvl. So it is more advantageous to morph as soon as you have learn the skills you want to learn. Each morph carry only 10% of stats with a RNG, thus, first stage is not impactful as only represent 1% of the total. Contraproductief advice to lvl all the way

Is 1 extra point in a stat really worth it though? Most Stage 1 familiars don't even reach 120 or beyond in their stats, and I don't think any get to 200, and since the game rounds down, (as seen when you get 64 instead of 65 for the favored Genus if the original stat is 59,) that means the 3rd Stage will only have a +1 at most for maxing out the first Stage, unless you miraculously got a stat up to 200+ during that, in which, congratulations, you have +2 instead.
