Very nice video! Near Light is my favorite event. The story itself is interesting and exciting enough, the themes behind the story is also very relatable to our city lives. Actually, everyone in this story are answering the same question: if you don’t like this society, what should you do? Every main character gives their own answer, and the fight with Magarate is the fight between the ideologies. Viviana was born in noble family but her experience made her empathy with the poor and the weak. She wants to help them by donating, but she also realizes this doesn’t really help with the existing issues. I believe this is one of her confusion and she wants to find the answer from Magarate. The evidence is that she thought she cannot write poets even though she likes reading poets. She realized she never leaves the tower. These descriptions show that she thinks she doesn’t really have experience of the lives of the poor and the weak. Hence, Magarate, who was also from a noble family, is a person she can seek for the answer. Tula also gives his answer. He cannot accept the society, so he chooses to leave it and seek for his own way. However, his seeking for fight with strong persons is because he could not accept his weakness. His mother was dead in front of him and he didn’t have power to protect her. He was suffering from mother’s death and his weakness, so he chooses to follow the tradition to find his way. It was useful for him to follow the tradition at the beginning. With the confidence on tradition and ancient stories, he was able to move forward. However, his target was to find a place to die. His seeking for his way thus has two meanings: to move forward, and to die. Hence, he is not that firm about his own way, unlike his appearance. After the match with the Blood Knight, he can finally accept his own weakness and really seek for his way to move forward. He will continue to follow the tradition, but will not be restricted by it anymore. He is now really seeking the way to move forward. The Blood Knight has a very clear answer to this question. He doesn’t accept this society, so he will change it. He is very realistic. At first, he was fighting for surviving. Because he is strong and talented, he earns a place in the society. Then he use his social position to create more chances for the infected, and reaches out to protect the infected with his actions. He doesn’t change the whole rule of the society, but he creates chances for surviving. He builds the foundation, so that Magarate can fight for the rights of the infected. His fight with Magarate is very deep. There is no conflict between their ideologies, but Magarate needs to prove herself to the Blood Knight. If she wins the champion, she needs to shoulder the responsibility of the Blood Knight. I strongly recommend to read this fight again. I would say this is the top class fighting in Arknights. Every sentence and action is a metaphor to the challenge posted by the Blood Knight to Magarate. And Magarate gives the Blood Knight her answer. The Blood Knight actually points out the weakness of her ideology: she encourages people to stand up, but never tells them how to fight. She didn’t answer this in the fight, but she answer this in her operator story with actions. So I strongly recommend to read her operator story. Actually besides the knights, other characters also answer this question but I will not continue here. This comment is too long already 😅 Moreover, the story of knights completes with uncle Mlłynar’s story. This is very important. After Near Light, the story about a successful knight who is full of light, we also need to look at the knight who failed to change the society. Everything comes with cost, and to change the society, the cost is usually unaffordable. Młynar failed in the past, but he is still moving forward. Magarate may also fail in the future, but the thing we are sure is: she will never give up.

Personally, I liked Viviana's interpretation of the poem. "The written word cannot be separated from the imagination." Reading "Near Light" with this thought in mind, I was able to appreciate the beauty of literature once again!
