Күн бұрын

took mike down for his first trip to the gorge-water wasn't ideal (murky) but we were able to hook up with at least a dozen fish but only landed 7.could have been better - not the best place to fish in wny if your looking for numbers - challenging place to fish to say the least .lost another big fish today.

Yea I usually use 10 lb Stren Magnathin, Ive actually had a few fish take me down to the knot and take off before I could even move my feet! Those Niagara Steelies are mean!

I fished the St joe all my life here in MI. Pretty big river though.. and every time I had a fish on it would fight hard to the point where I had to start using 8 lb test line. Recently I moved up north of MI and steelhead fish in a smaller stream and fish there don't fight that hard. BIG fish. So I know what ya meant when you mentioned that fish in there (Niagara) fought hard. Good fishing.
