Niall is actually a really sweet guy and if anything you can see he was nervous here. He looked nervous when he performed and when he gave his acceptance speech too. So maybe some of you are misunderstanding him...how can you say 'it seems like he doesn't like BTS'? Did he say that? You're starting to cause unnecessary arguments. dumb question, great answer! It's weird that she asked that because as much as BTS kinda seem like an overnight sensation in America, they're not! They've been working hard for a long time and slowing growing a passionate fanbase and they've been EXTREMELY popular for a couple years now. Niall gave a great answer! he didn't want to answer but told that he had done some research(which is a lot more than a lot of interviewers so that's impressive) and gave BTS recognition in valid and relative areas such as existing popularity overseas and their performance. He only answered the question when pressed again and then kept it short and sweet and basically said to stay humble...which ARMYs often say is one of the reasons they love BTS so, like, good advice right?! As much as ARMYs hate for BTS to be compared to 1D it's equally unfair for him to have to answer questions about them. BTS and 1D are two very different things and he shouldn't be bothered with questions in what's supposed to be an interview ABOUT HIM. These are just my personal opinions, please don't take offense or take them too seriously. I just think great answer to a dumb question.

haha fandoms are fun if you know where to go. I love bangtan so I end up getting involved even tho I hate fanwars. I suggest just following ppl who don't deal with that stuff and ignore that aspect. Also there's a bts reddit page that I've found recently and it's pretty great. Everyone seems to be in their 20s and up so they're super civil and they have really insightful discussions.

Ugh this is why we can't have nice things. Literally this was a nice Interview of someone giving someone' else advice because he got asked to. The interviewer asked him for it what was he gonna do say nothing? Lol but here are some people twisting it. Like really why did this turn into who is more famous, who sells more, who is better? Can't we appreciate both? To the people saying why would bts need advice if they're already big blah blah.. well we all need some advice at points. Don't you take advice from your friends and I presume you and your friends are the same level in terms of life experience. When Niall said to keep their head on their shoulders he even added how they already seem to be very good at it anyway. Believe it or not how a singer or group's fans act really affects how other see the singer, even if the singer themselves didn't do anything. Take it from me, I recently got into a band (keeping the name anonymous) and really liked their newest album but I did not like how the fandom acted. Even tho the band did nothing I kinda stopped following them... because of this. Please don't try to make drama where there wasn't any in the first place. We have to be respectful towards others because we help represent BTS guys! Peace
