That’s not true, not every parent is loving and nurturing. I know many sets of parents that are very toxic even to their own children. My parents are one of them. They feel entitled just bc they gave birth to us and we should do whatever they asked. They said that we owe them bc they’re our parents. They forget that we have a family of our own too.
@mcvaj0211 ай бұрын
Agreed. Not all parents are created equal. I have been blessed with a selfless mom but I've seen toxic parents when married into a family where the parents feel entitled. As a parent myself, my kids do not owe me anyrhing bc it was my decision to have them. They didn't ask to be born. If they want to care for me later when I'm old, that's great but if they choose not to, I'm not going to place that burden on them.
@leefamily606111 ай бұрын
Yes there are so toxic parents. The man in this story is lucky

I am very bless to have parents doesn’t expecting things from us. We buy things for them, they even try to stop us. My parents are not perfect but they love each other and worked well as a team to raised so many of us. I’ve seen some siblings has issues but I am very lucky that my siblings and I get along and understand each other well because of our parents. Thanks for sharing your story 😀

Your story reminds me of my loving dad, very loving to all his children. Dad's love was so unconditional. If you have a loving father, you will know that no one loves you like him. He will stand next to you and never let you down.

This story got me 😢. Lost my pops 13 years ago. My momma lived with me until this year. I just lost my momma this year 😭 have no more momma or poppa. It hurts a lot to lose your parents, but it hurts even more when you’re the baby and your life still revolves around your parents, and they are still such a big part of your life when you lose them.

You are right about 1 thing, thoug, she is your mom only your mom can love you. She is not your wife's mom n your mom wont love your wife like she loves you. So its fair for you to say that. Not all husbands n all mother-in-laws can see it like you do, brother.

May: With all due respect, you cannot claim to love God and be shaman at the same time. A slave cannot serve two masters bc they will love one and hate the other. God says there is no other God but him. What you are doing is not for God but against him. God says if you are not with me, you are against me. No one can bring to you Christ but yourself. We are not saved for attending church or going to church with our family or spouses etc. You have to personally accept Christ be saved.

The comments section here highlights us hmong people as a whole and who we are hasn’t changed much from the old times. I’m happy to see so many good and encouraging comments, I’m glad those of you who wrote those comments are the good hmong people who have big hearts. But all the negative comments, y’all are the typical bitter stereotypical hmong people. Our old hmong ways haven’t died out yet I see. When y’all hear a good story of someone and their love for their parents and their parents love for them, all you can think of is to be bitter about it. This is exactly like the old hmong folks when they hear a cousins son or daughter got his or her doctorate, y’all are just jealous and bitter and not actually happy for them. Y’all are no different. So what you are a woman and got parents who loved your brothers unfairly more than you, so what you are a son and had a bad father who wasn’t much of a father to you, don’t need to poo on the party and write such negative comments to this brother in this story. A lot of us actually got good parents and we love them very much as do they towards us, so when we lose them, it hurts us a lot. Which is fine, y’all don’t have to hate and be bitter towards people who had love in their life. It’s always the negative and bitter people who keeps the Hmong people as small hearted and unsympathetic people who could never be happy for anyone else’s accomplishments or their positive experiences. Shame on y’all for being such negative and bitter people. You are the people that make hmong people bad and give us such a bad rep.
