Pakou, your beautiful sad song is making me literally crying at work. 😭 I'm not married yet but I can really feel the words and emotions. Three months ago I was so close to probably making the worse decision of my life. My parents may not be the ideal type of guardians but they love me unconditionally and did their best to raise us. I was in an interracial relationship and I was trying so hard to get the guy to like my parents. I turned a blind eye to all the red flags that he is because I was too blind trying to prove my ideals of love and because I believed he "loved " me. He always disliked my parents and pressured me to leave my parents just because he dont understand our cultural beliefs and values. I so grateful he left my life. My parents are my world and I want to stay with them forever until it is their time. 1000x him could never compare to my parents.
