13:14 High school dances in the 50s were usually held in the gymnasium, the most expensive and easily damaged floor in the school. Most students at the time wore hard-soled shoes so it became customary for them to leave their shoes at the door. This lead to such dances being known as "Sock hops". For that reason, it would make sense for a 50s-themed restaurant to enact the same "no shoes" rule during a dance contest, not to mention Quentin Tarantino famously having a fetish for women's bare feet.

As a viewer of a lot of movie reaction videos, I actually appreciate it when the person reacting isn't constantly trying to predict what's going to happen or how the movie is going to end. It's natural to wonder of course but it usually results in a lot of talking over scenes and dialogue which is confounding because it gives the impression that the reactor is missing part of the movie.

Vincent is way worse. I'd argue Butch is perfectly entitled to not feel the least bit bad. The other dude knew the risks of getting in the ring, as far as we know Butch fought fair and clean. He did nothing wrong, why should he feel remorse? His only fault was that he broke a promise but he was coerced into making it so how bad of an action is that? In my opinion him snapping at Fabienne is the only "bad" thing he does in the whole movie.
@stevesheroan41319 ай бұрын
@@notthestatusquo7683 Fair enough, I guess I just feel that his cavalier attitude towards killing the guy is kinda telling. “Hey, if he was a better fighter he'd be alive. If he never laced up his gloves in the first place, which he never shoulda done, he'd be alive. Enough about the poor unfortunate Mr. Floyd, let's talk about the rich and prosperous Mr. Butch.” doesn’t sound like a defendable statement to me. Boxers aren’t supposed to be trying to kill the other fighter, and they are not supposed to be defending their own life. It’s no doubt a brutal sport, but if someone dies I think it warrants remorse. Killing a human, a fellow sportsman, a peer. It’s still just a sport at the end of the day. Perfectly entitled? Not in my book. 🤷🏼

Also Mia was full of drugs in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).

So there's this popular theory that all of Tarantino's films relate to an alternate reality where Hitler was killed in a movie theater, and as a result, movies and other things pop culture became even more hype than they are in our world. His films are either set in that alternate reality, or they are an example of the kind of movie that would be regularly made in that reality, depending on which Tarantino film it is. From this, my spouse came up with their own "What's in the Briefcase" theory. Look at Brad and his crew. Do they *look* like hardcore gangsters who would have somehow gotten a hold of the diamonds from Reservoir Dogs, or Wallace's Soul that the Devil was supposed to have taken from him in the first place? Nah, they're just an apartment of boring college-age schlubs, hardly a crime bone in any of them. We know Mia stared in the Fox Force 5 pilot. What if that pilot was a loose adaptation of some old dime novel pulp series? A really popular one that a lot of people in the pop culture saturated Tarantino-verse are aware of. Marcellus wanting to give Mia a collection of vintage first printings as a gift would not be out of the question. But he's got a crime empire to run, he doesn't have time to hit up every used bookstore in L.A. trying to gather the collection. That's where Brad and his friends come in. He offers to pay them to go searching for him, and put together as many as they can find. They do, and actually manage to put together the full collection, something Wallace wasn't expecting. A complete set ends up being a bit more than what Wallace had told them he was going to pay, and they decided to sit on the collection to shop it around to other buyers. Wallace gets pissed that they're not delivering on time and Jules and Vincent to let them know he doesn't look like a bitch. Now notably, we see Vincent with a Pulp novel a few times in the movie. If you arrange the sequence of events in order, these happen after he was alone with the briefcase in Mr. Wolf's car while Jules and Wolf were driving the tainted car. Suddenly, his post date speech about loyalty takes on a whole new light. He's having to build himself up because he knew he failed the loyalty test earlier by grabbing the most sought after book from the collection.

Great reaction Nia like always, i love this it´s a masterpiece of cinema, the dialogue is sharp, the performances immaculate, and the twists continually surprising. There’s much about the film that stands the test of time. There are some fun-facts about it, You can watch the film chronologically ... kind of. The narrative structure of the film plays out of sequence, but it’s easy enough to break it down into seven distinct sections (a prologue, an epilogue, two preludes, and three large segments) that can then be re-ordered into a chronological narrative. This movie contains 265 f-bombs, Even that hefty number isn’t Tarantino’s highest (1992’s Reservoir Dogs used it 269 times). Still, the film was the big “f word” winner of 1994, as no other film released that year even came close to that amount of profanity. John Travolta’s character in the film had a sweet ride which, in real life, belonged to Tarantino and it was such a hot rod that it was stolen soon after the film’s release. Uma Thurman wasn’t actually Tarantino’s his first pick for Mia Wallace. Other possible Mias? Isabella Rossellini, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Meg Ryan, Halle Berry, Daryl Hannah, Rosanna Arquette, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Tarantino’s original favorite was supposedly Pfeiffer. The original theatrical poster is worth a lot of money. The first poster had Thurman smoking not from a box of Red Apple cigarettes (Tarantino’s fake brand, seen in many films), but from a box of Lucky Strike cigarettes. However, Miramax hadn’t licensed usage rights from Lucky Strikes, which then threatened to sue. Rather than fight it, Miramax had the posters returned. Those that survived can now command big money. The infamous scene in which Mia Wallace is stabbed with a very necessary adrenaline shot was stressful enough, so Tarantino took off some of the pressure: The needle was inserted, and then Travolta pulled it out. The scene was reversed in post-production so it looks as if Vincent Vega really is plunging that syringe into her. Movie magic! And the character Vincent Vega is the brother of Michael Madsen's character (Vic Vega) in Reservoir Dogs. About your question whats in the case, Tarantino leaves that answer to us its anything we want, many speculate that is Marsellus soul, This is a theory that, at face value, seems wholly unbelievable, but holds merit among many of the fans who have theorized over the last 25-plus years as to what could be inside the briefcase. There are theories that Marsellus had previously sold his soul to the devil, with key indicators pointing to the fact that the combination to the briefcase is '666' and that Marsellus has an unexplained band-aid covering a scar on the back of his neck. This would explain the shock and awe that people feel upon seeing inside the briefcase. There are religious anecdotes spread throughout the film, specifically concerning the character Jules Winnfield. Samuel L. Jackson is often remembered for this role, where Jules would recite biblical scripture and cite the fact that he has survived near-impossible odds as divine intervention, telling him to leave this unethical work. But the funny thing is that Jules doesnt qoute the bibble, this version Ezekiel 25:17 isn’t taken verbatim from the bible. In fact, Tarantino actually took the exchange from the opening of a Japanese martial-arts film called Karate Kiba (1973), starring Sonny Chiba in the titular role Keep up amazing work.

Hello, my lovely!! I am a big Tarantino fan, saw this on the opening night in London. SUGGESTION: Watch them all in chronological release order. It will be more interesting than watching randomly. Love ya!
