Much LOVE, and RESPECT from an APPRECIATIVE MEXICAN/AMERICAN BROTHER. My 16 yr. old SON definitely knows about the SAN PATRICIOS, and also like me has INFINATE LOVE, and RESPECT for the IRISH PEOPLE as a whole. LONG LIVE THE IRISH SPIRIT, and THE IRISH PEOPLE. VIVA IRLANDA PARA SIEMPRE ! BTW I do like this song it has Beautiful Guitar, Beautiful Singing, and ofcourse a Beautiful Message. Thank You Niamh, and Graham. I hope someday the San Patricios will be a normal part of the curriculum in all U.S history classes So any Americans who come across this comment PLEASE spread this important piece of history.

I am so happy to find this beautiful song about the San Patricios!!!! There's a song about them by the American-Irish group the Fenians which I also love. The American army treated them horribly & it became very clear that John Bull & Uncle Sam were twins. The war was a land grab against impoverished Catholic natives & the Irish knew which side they were on. My only Irish blood is by way of Scotland and I am still so very proud of them!!! Most of them were hanged but their heroism lives forever. To this day, the best Muenster cheese in Texas comes from Mexico and there is a San Patricio County in South Texas. Thanks for the great video!!!

Sorry for the closed eyes - but like you - I conjour all the pictures in my head, that way I can portray the real meaning of the song. But as you say - you close your eyes too.
