A sweet story, nothing like what we thought the nian2shou4 were. Fireworks nor the red the little boy wore seemed to frighten it, and wasn't interested in eating any children. Maybe we've misjudged them. A small amount of literary license with a full moon on Chinese New Year (should be new moon).
