So...I have been going through such a deep depression for the last year. I used to love to paint, but I have just lost motivation to do anything I used to love. Watching you paint this whale was amazing- it gave me peace and a feeling of inspiration that I haven’t been able to feel in I can’t remember how long. And I am constantly watching art videos to try and get up the energy to create. Thank you so much for making this and bringing me some joy in my day today! I am saving this video to watch over and over when I need some creative inspiration. This picture is beyond beautiful and it seems as though everything you touch just turns into something gorgeous! Beautiful. I think we all can be your own worst critic. Look at you though. You turedn something around that could have been a mess and made a great piece of art out of it. Its just one of those learning processes. Great job. I just tried reproducing your tea and biscuits painting in the light water style. It came out so so. My drawing perspective was off a bit so I need to work on that and I used much darker colors than I should have. I will try again though and I'm sure I'll enjoy it the next time too. Once again thank you for sharing and giving us a variety of content to try ourselves. Happy Painting. 😄

Oh wow, sorry! Somehow I missed this comment from you O.o Yea... the sketch of a watercolour painting is also essential, because technically if you draw something perfectly and only use little paint, it would still look great. I also need to work on my art fundamentals, like perspective and form... so I understand tht it's not so easy :( Best of luck for repainting it again, you can even try out different colour varieties just for fun :)

Have you ever heard of Claudia Nice? She does lots of stuff with water colors and writes books on how to draw things wit nature. You can look her up, her style is similar to yours.

I think I have heard or seen her on tv when I was little. She's way out of my league though, I don't feel worthy of being compared to her hahahaha I don't even feel like I've established my style yet actually xD and I'm not too worried over style at this point, since it'll come along the more I paint, and the more I develop certain habits and muscle memory.
