You give us in-depth explanation of things which is literally praiseworthy. You must not have any idea how much i rely on your lectures to enhance my knowledge in literature. What i like the most about your lessons is that you even clear the tiniest of areas which could never have passed someone's mind, hadn't they watched your videos. Anytime in a day I open KZbin and straightly head to your channel and start watching lectures on any one of the topics. This way i make sure that even if i use phone, i use it for a good cause and that doesn't count in wasting time by scrolling through phone. Heartfelt Thanks to you.

@Nibble Pop Qn 1. The murder of Banquo is not merely due to his knowledge of the weird sister’s prophecy, but Macbeth fears - . 1) The promise that Banquo’s descendants would inherit the throne. 2) Dauntless temper of Banquo’s mind. 3) The nobility of Banquo’s character. 4) Banquo’s wisdom . Qn 2. Which lines in Browning’s ‘My Last Duchess’ reveal him as an ‘art connoisseur’? 1) “She liked whate’er / she looked on” 2) “My favour at her breast” 3) “Sir ! Notice Neptune, though /Taming a sea-horse, thought a rarity / Which Claus of Innsbruck cast in bronze for me ! 4) “Sir’ twas not / Her Husbands’ presence only, called that spot /Of joy into the Duchess’ cheek

Ma'am, if we say 'she is like her mother' .....is that a simile?
@NibblePop
@NibblePop Жыл бұрын
Not really. Simile includes,preferably, two apparently dissimilar things. Two humans are not dissimilar . Plus, simile is made with a general thing not a specific one usually. She is like a bird, for instance.

Hlo maam can you help me with this doubt ..........Ma'am in your explanation of oxymoron there you have mentioned a passage as it's example from which i have a doubt .......... There is a line ...... HERE'S MUCH TO DO WITH HATE ,BUT MORE WITH LOVE ....... is there the use of antithesis as well
@NibblePop
@NibblePop 2 ай бұрын
@@ManishaSoni-t9h in antithesis there is usually no contradiction. This is more of a paradox you may say.

Okay now this is a mother of coincidence ! Ma'am I have a question, please read this entire comment. So I was watching the movie Hemlock Society today & there's this scene where Anand say to Meghna, "পিপীলিকার পাখা গজায় মরিবার তরে" & he mentions that it's a metaphor ( রূপক). Then Meghna contradicts him saying that no it's a simile ( উপমা). Then Anand says " আরিইইই.. স্যাটা ! ফাটিয়ে দিয়েছেন !"😂 So, apparently, Meghna was right. Now what I'm asking is why or how is this a simile ? Is this a certain verity of simile ? Or it's a simile just because Meghna is being compared to an ant ? Because prior to this scene, Meghna says, " আপনার সাথে এভাবে বাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়ে আসা টা আমার ঠিক হয়নি।" Then Anand replys, " মানুষ যখন মৃত্যুর খুব কাছাকাছি চলে আসে তখন হঠাৎ করে মনটা খুব অ্যাডভেঞ্চারস্ হয়ে পড়ে।" And there's also this fact that Meghna was actually trying to commit suicide.

There's another thing that's playing on my mind is if you look for the source of this particular proverb So she's basically talking about the doom of Kalketu & she's comparing two situations. So the fact that this very proverb is actually originated from a comparison, could this be the reason that it's a simile ? I mean doesn't matter how you use it, since this very proverb itself is a simile it's always a simile. Is this what's happening here ? Or the comparison between an ant & Meghna is the reason ?

MAM I HAVE A CONFUSION.U SAID THAT SHEEP BLEET BUT ACTUALLY 'BLEET' IS NOT AN ONOMATOPOEIC WORD AS THEIR CRY ACTUALLY DOESNOT SOUND LIKE THAT WORD SOUNDS.THEN HOW COME BELLS 'ROAR' HAS BEEN SELECTED AS A ONOMATOPOEIC WORD (at 20.40 mins)AS BEELS NEVER EVER SOUND LIKE 'ROAR'.?. PLEASE PLEASE CLARIFY MADAM MY HUMBLE REQUEST

The words clang and clash are onomatopoeic . The sound of little lambs are similar to bleeee. So bleating is considered onomatopoeic too.
