Omg, how deep, Need to listen to your lecture once again for everything to seep in. Both the poems, on the surface of it looks easy and gentle like a Lamb, but when asked to read between the lines, there's Tiger-like intensity and ferocity.

It also feels like, in the lamb imagery that other lambs merge into the background bcz they aren't as innocent. The child and lamb who are innocent shine different, stand out. Bcz in God's perfect world, these two are the frontiers. God loves innocence. And hence they are in the front, clearly visible.

Amazing lesson. Thank you very much. "Implie speaker is a constructor, image of the poet. The speaker is a child. Who is the creator of the lamb? The creator gives life, food, clothing and voice. The creator is always protecting his creation with ideas about how to live, how to feed, how to sing, how to enjoy life. So the creator has this plan for the lamb. Adam and Even only used clothing after they have performed the sin. God became a little child when he was born into the world. john 29 Jesus is called the lamb of God who's take away the sins of the world. Jesus is link to child is a young person just as a lamb is a young sheep".

I have exams coming up and as always your videos are really helpful mam , and thank you for putting so much effort and also quoting the Bible too. And there are a few things I would love to add , it is absolutely true that Jesus died and rose from the dead to bring us forgiveness, but that is actually not just given, it is offered, a person must repent of their sins , and put their faith in Jesus (not in their own righteousness, karma) in order to recieve it. Jesus actually is the Creator of this world, the Bible doesn't contradict itself, In genesis we see that God says let "us" make man in "our" image. And we see that God spoke everything into being. And then again in the new testament John 1 we see that, in the begining "The Word" already existed, The Word was with God, and "The Word was God. God created everything through Him and without Him not anything made(lamb and tyger ,child and us) that was made. The Word became fresh(human body) and lived among us. Which is Jesus. So Jesus obviously existed in the begining, before mankind was their. And He is God. We also see Jesus saying before Abraham was " I AM" which is His eternal state. And that is also God's name. Jesus also says that "The Father and I are One! And He is equal to God. Cause the Bible says the True God is 1 God in three persons, God The Father, God The Son, God The Holy Spirit. * and Adam and Eve were innocent but not like a weak child, God had given man authority over everything, which we lost after the fall. This change from innocence to experience wasn't a good one, much like I would was my child to stay innocent from the fact that the knife we eat fruits with, can kill people. So God was heartbroken by the fall. Though He brought restoration through Jesus, but the world which He made and called everything " good" isn't how we have it now, We live in a world of pain death decay sin and suffering, all results of mans sin! Not the fallen world God created. Cause many people are atheists because of pain which *man* is responsible for. And God did give us free will, like He had given to Adam and Eve, to eat that fruit or not, a lot a wife would give her husband go out and be in the world, where there is temptations to cheat but out of his choice he would stay loyal. In. Lamb we see , who can make thee? A God who must be so gentle (which we see Jesus referring to Himself as gentle and lowly in heart) and in Tyger, who can dare make you? A God who must be majestic! But in both places we see design and purpose and God's ambition. In Psalms it says I praise you God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, not an accident but with details nd needs and qualities , both the Lamb , The Tyger and this whole creation, fearfully nd wonderfully made, which can never be the result of an explosion or just evolution which we assume it to be, we see order and design and of course God's heart behind it. Which He simply spoke into being , That's how majestic His Word, Jesus is, giving details to The lamb ,the Tyger and to you n I. And everything was material and spiritual from the begining, God gave man a body and a spirit from the begining. And God is actually mentioned in the Bible as a Consuming Fire! He is passionate and zealous for His creation , we aren't to compare Him with a sinful wicked satan that's blasphemy. The devil is our enemy, the course of evil , corruption in this world, and he has no part with God, God is Light, there is no sin and darkness in Him. He is pure, the opposite of the devil. And am so sorry if you or anyone have suffered from religious people, we all have. Jesus Himself questioned the traditions, challenged authority, not good but corrupted ones, man made rules which is really hypocrisy underneath, andHe , our Lord, like you pointed out, was slandered as a mad man, but He never questioned scriptures and showed us what God meant through Scriptures, where God desires a repentant heart mourning for its sins, rather than one that claims to be righteousness, which none of us are. The commandments are their to show us how sinful we are, cause God knows we can't obey them perfectly and go to heaven, which is why He gave us Jesus, The way and The Truth. I hope this helps anyone who is searching for answer, and I hope you read this mam. Thank you 💙

In the Bible, Fallen angels is mentioned. The Bible tells that a war broke out in heaven between Lucifer ( was an Archangel but now Satan /Devil) and Archangel Michael . Lucifer rebelled against God. Lucifer had some other angels on his side (supported him). Lucifer and his angels were defeated . THEY were thrown down from Heaven . They are the fallen angels. U can read in the Bible. Book of Isaiah chapter 14 verse 12to17 .

Mam, as here we see the most important question rather to say a suspicion is being created that how could be the same creator of the 'Lamb' and the 'Tyger' as both are completely different from another, the more innocent the lamb is, the more fearful the tyger is. What will be the answer of the question as there is no answer mentioned in the poem, it's all about questions one after another. Moreover, why Blake forces to make us think about the contradiction? Is it because of he is trying to give us the touch of the power of God or the Creator that nothing is impossible for Him, all the qualities of handling according to the situation, adjustment capacity, creating capacity fit with the circumstances, behaviour all He possesses within (better will be not trying to define Him as He is the one, the unique, unexplainable).

This is an out of context question Ma'am. You said that Blake was such a spirited believer of God that he knew that the commandments written down are all false ideas and only take one away from God. Then, if one does not follow what is written in the holy books, then how is one supposed to know about the history of Gods and what to do to reach Them? I am not sure if I actually understood what you wanted to say and apologize if I asked something wrong.

Here is my own take, as an Eliot nerd. These two poems are quite chiasmic, and the biggest internal clue is "We are called by his name." The lamb seems to be a symbol of peace, but is it? Revelation 1:14 shows Jesus "His head, and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire." The Tyger seems to be a predatory creature capable of great violence, but 2 Peter 2:24 speaks of "... that we, being dead to sins, should live until righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed," which is a reference to Isiah 53:3. "Stripes" is a reference here to whipping, as a punishment, but of course tigers have stripes. It's Yin and Yang, the Tyger is the Lamb and the Lamb is the Tyger, and both are Jesus, who said "if a man strikes you on one cheek, turn the other cheek" and who said "I bring not peace, but the sword." And that's why it's "called by *his* name" and not "called by *His* name." The name is literally Blake, from the proto-Indo-European that turned into "black" in English and "blanc" in French... and Blake. The word comes from Proto-Indo-European *bhleg,* which originally described a flash of fire. At least, that's how I see the poems through the lens of Eliot's "Gerontion," where "Swaddled with darkness. In the juvescence of the year // Came Christ the tiger"

Still, it saddens that her misinterpretation of the Bible could quite possibly close the door for many of those following her podcast to further investigation of the Christian faith.

I got confused a little at a point. You said God created symmetrical figure which Blake could not draw and then you said perfect symmetry only exists in your imagination. So, did you want to say that it is only possible for Gods to make perfect symmetry (by making the tyger) which is a dareful and imaginative task for humans (illustration by Blake)?
