Nicaragua My Vision for the Future 🇳🇮

Major audio issues today, and some video ones, from the intense wind that we experienced. It blew over the tripod a few times, too! Sorry for how bad it sounds. I'll try to avoid wind like that, I was hopeful that the new mic could handle it, but it definitely cannot.
Nicaragua is a country largly without cars today. Could it leverage this into an amazing future?

I've lived in Nicaragua now for 80 days. Previously I was in Mexico. While in Mexico the past 20 months I noticed more electric golf cart type taxi's used within 1-2 mile range.. To my surprised I've seen 2 in Granada in the past week. Very easy to park and maneuvers very easily in and outta traffic not to mention the horse and buggies. I've been in cabs in the early evening and almost struck people hauling items in horse and buggies 4 times in my short time here. They really should make those people put simple orange reflectors on those wagons if their out after sundown. Plus some of these streets are so narrow a smaller golf cart vehicle 🚜 are perfect to get down these narrow streets. Matter of fact I think it's a lucrative idea for someone to purchase maybe 10 carts and work a centro area in any cities downtown

Only lucrative if you can get a license to do so. They aren't allowed in Leon, for example. They should be, I agree with you, but you can't use them here (for commercial purposes.) Makes it complex. That's why we need the powers that be to push this from the top to get smaller, lighter, safer, cheaper, more ecological vehicles on the streets, mostly shared, and get trains or buses between those transport centers.

There is a lot to be done for sure. But I've been in and out since 2015 and the improvements since then are huge. It's a constant push forward with a lot of projects going on right now. Several new highways, hundreds of new buses, and new train lines all going in for internal transport. And a new airport getting ready to open, too.

I've seen a station in Managua. And I've seen a station on the new Leon road (Managua to Leon North Route.) They are subletly labeled and sit off of the road proper. So you have to be on the lookout.

When my wife and I finally move to Nicaragua, we will definitely be installing a solar panels/battery bank system. Something to think about if your thinking of importing your Tesla and any other EV. Note: be ready for the import tax on bringing in a vehicle like that into Nicaragua $$$$$
