I have been to Matagalpa a lot, but never to Selva Negra. It will be on the top of my list of places to visit. We looked at some properties outside of Matagalpa, towards San Ramon, and I like the area.

Do you know what kind of hawk I see every day, that has wings that are about 1/2 white?

Hi Tim, thank you so much for commenting. It could be the short-tailed hawk... or maybe the pearl kite. What color is the rest of the bird's body?

@@LeoJaramaz I think it is a female short tail hawk, now that I looked at some pictures. The chest is dark. I see the mail has a white chest. Sometimes I see 2 birds, but mostly I see only 1.Two days ago there were 2 of them went over our heads making a lot of noise. Probably the male chasing the female. It was like a jet going over.
