Similar was done in the 1940s to secure (for a time) singers' rights to royalties from recording studios producing vinyl records and playing recorded songs on the radio. It does need proper addressing but it needn't mean the death of an industry. Similar to artists and journalists, machine learning "AI" is a tool in the hands of a person wise in its use. Photoshop did not kill photography; video did not kill the radio star.

Did people just forget that we would one day be able to feel non existent wind, have non existant sex, travel the stars? Stop being complacent, unless you want to go back to the stone age, THIS IS THE FUTURE. People have just decided that when they were born that that's when everything should stop for the world. You're selfish, you'll be seen just like boomers with PCs in a few decades.

"If fighting is sure to result in victory, then you must fight!" Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it, and then he perfected it so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor. Then he used his fight money to buy two of every animal on earth. And then he herded them onto a boat, and then he beat the crap out of every single one. And from that day forward any time a bunch of animals are together in one place it's called a zoo! Unless it's a farm!

As for using it to fake someone saying something that a company would fire them over, or worse, faking confessions of something that can land them in prison, yes it needs to be taken into account from the point where it's impossible to tell the difference, that audio proof is not good enough to guarantee they said anything, as long as it can't be verified as being truly the individual and not an AI being used to create fake evidence.

This is my Third time listening. I have the book, and only read 3 chapters, but this is one of the occasions that will stick so much harder by the audio. The human like emotion, breaths, and tone changes are pushed hard with Joshua’s voice, and i don’t believe that there is a better use for him than to teach us the smart, adaptable methods of war.

I have very mixed feelings about AI. On the one hand if Bethesda/Obsidian wanted this character to return it would probably be cheaper (and by cheaper I mean absolutely free) to use this than rehire the voice actor. on the other hand, I got the art of war on audible the other day for free, and yet, I think I’m going to listen to this version to completion instead.

42:22, Joshua Graham said that, and I'd say he knows a little more about fighting than you do, pal, because he was the Malpais Legate. And then he was such a brutal leader that he's still in the minds of Caesar's Legion!

Courier: How in THE HELL did you lose the First Battle of Hoover Dam? Graham: Firstly, the book was written five centuries before the birth of Christ; relevant as many of the lessons still are in this age, war has evolved in the millennia since. The phrase "war never changes" is a commentary on why war is waged, not how. Secondly, my opponents undoubtedly had access to the same knowledge I did, if not more. Thirdly, erudition is not the same as perspicacity, just as intellect is not the same as wisdom; remember that my folly was a not a lack of knowledge, but a lack of adaptability. Courier:...Oh. Graham: Indeed; hand me the oil, please?
