Fun detail: The facial damage is heavily implied (if not confirmed, been a while since a read it) to be the work of Grimlock. Guy ruined Tarn's face like ten minutes after he got it back (Empurata's a hell of a thing). The next time they met, an amnesiac Grimlock punched Tarn in the, uh, _ballbearings._ Not sure why they had the mask peg in though. They did that with "Kultur"/Tarn but then "Tyrantron"/Megatron came with a magnetic one. I would've thought they'd do magnets again for Eris. Alas, seems like Megs won't be able to use this one as a substitute chest insignia.

Also, as someone who has read the comics, lemme reassure you, Tarn and the DJD are more than just the Decepticons' personal enforcer squad that weed out those who aren't as dedicated or trators.... they're basically a cult, religiously devoted to Megatron! They even kneel before an image of him and recite their own messed up equivalent of the Lord's Prayer that ends with Megatron's classic quote "Peace Through Tyranny"! And Tarn had a crisis of faith when Megatron gave up the Decepticon way, joined the Autobots, and made a change for the better.

I own this figure, it’s really one of my favorites. I hate that the release was so limited. The transformation is fun, all of the joints are tight on mine (after a little adjusting), and really even the tiny feet seem to somehow hold up this figure in basically any pose.
