As promised as part of our recent foray into the world of 'KZbin Shorts' - • Nice to Meet You Peter... . We got to say 'Nice to Meet You Peter Watson' following his and 'Functional Power Boat' FPB 78-02 GREY WOLF II's arrival at our Lymington HQ marina in February.
Peter has a longstanding relationship with both FPB yachts and the Berthon Boat Company - having purchased 'Little GREY WOLF', an FPB 64, and sailed her from Whangerai, North Island, New Zealand back to her homeport of Guernsey, Channel Islands with X number of our apprentices on-board.
You might also remember that a future batch of apprentices would join him on-board FPB 78 GREY WOLF II - starting in Mangareva, French Polynesia. This part of the voyage was titled 'THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF GREY WOLF' and can be seen on film here - • The Further Adventures... .

How do the FPBs compare to the Bearing 70 yachts? Seem similar but very different. Wondering which would be a better long range cruiser.

I have a feeling being able to surf down seas makes the FPBs a better LRC. Don't know if if I would wont to be in 100 knot winds in the Bering as it is not going to cut through it as well. The Bering 70 is not going to give you the range and is not an ocean crossing yacht being it's range is only 2500 nm
