Because in Expert, dying hurts a lot more. All of these levels were harder than most of the Expert levels, even though they don't seem as dangerous.

The real crazy thing is just how honest all these levels were despite being super expert. No dev routes, no pick a path levels or troll levels, all five of them had at least one checkpoint, etc. All the cheap ways for expert levels to drain lives and not a single one was seen here

That Link "Fire Temple" level is based on the Fire Temple from Ocarina of Time. It's a bit abstract, but I noticed some stuff. The lowering of the pillar for access to Volvagia (Bowser). The Flare Dancer (Bowser Jr.). Pushing the block that lifts you upward (the thwomp with the launcher on it). The room with fire chasing you. Pretty cool!
