A journey onboard MCW Metrobus M394 on the (failed) 465 running day event between Leatherhead and Dorking. This was new in the 80s and had a gardener engine and 3 speed voith D851.3 gearbox which sounded very nice both on idle and when moving as well. The voith gearbox whine is one reason why the metrobus is one of my favourite 80s buses. Just hearing the classic voith gearbox whine makes it music to my ears. Also featured in the flopped 465 event is trident TA239 and scania 622 but the batteries died on 622 that day meaning that it couldnt go back to leatherhead and Epsom.
